1982 CORVETTE COLLECTOR EDITION SURVIVOR AND AWARD WINNER - LOW MILES

For sale is one award winning 1982 Collector Edition Corvette with 28,281 original miles and in California all its life. It has been recently retired as a show car.

This Corvette has stunning paint and interior, and is in excellent running condition. Garaged since new. Original CA license plate and stickers.

All options except roof panel carrier. Rare options include AM/FM/Cassette/CB Radio, FE7 Gymkhana Suspension, and Heavy Duty Cooling. Two sets of original GM keys, one set still has the plugs and dealer tag.

Everything works properly. Engine compartment and chassis are clean and detailed like new. Original Goodyear Eagle GT tires with 5k miles in excellent condition (included is second set of original Eagle GT tires with 23k miles). Car passed recent CA smog testing with flying colors (CA smog test good through 8/22/2016).

Multiple award winner in the Original category (with the previous owner). Awards include Five Star Bowtie, McLellan Award, Triple Crown, Gold Spinner, Top Flight, Bloomington Gold, Survivor, Benchmark, plus multiple local awards (previous owner has kept some of the personal awards, but I have pictures of them). All decals in place on the rear glass indicating these awards. Air Cleaner signed by Dave McLellan. Bowtie award signed by Dave McLellan and Dave Hill.

Included are many accessories: All the original glovebox documents with original owner’s name in original plastic bag (sold new at De Anza Chevrolet in Riverside, CA), parts and service manuals, large box of spare parts, Press Kit, Dealer Brochure, sealed plastic model, 1/25 scale promo model, copy of Window Sticker (also includes original window sticker), T-top Bags, new car cover, Halon extinguisher, large stack of receipts and all the judging paperwork from its many awards. No aftermarket or Pep Boys items on the entire car.

As the car is 34 years old and in stock condition, it has a couple naturally occurring flaws these later C3 cars are known for, including the passenger vanity mirror cover broken hinge (but cover stays in place since the other hinge is fine),1-1/2” long stress mark on rear right ¼ panel (filled and concealed with touch-up paint), and some checking on the large hood decal (from age, not from the sun, and can easily be replaced through Phoenix Graphix if desired but it looks fine just the way it is). The rest of the exterior and interior is mint condition. Replacing anything on the car at this point is up to the new owner. A special car like this is original only once.

Reason for selling is that I was planning to buy an above average driver but I have concluded that this car is much too nice for me to drive every day and add mileage; however, it is definitely not a garage queen and can be driven daily if desired, with care and proper maintenance. It is probably best suited, though, for someone who wants to drive it on special occasions or take it to a show. It should be preserved considering all the originality awards it has earned.
