Description of 1982 Chevrolet Blazer

Rare 1982 Blazer Factory 2 Wheel Drive With Removable Chicago and Northwestern Rail Road Equipment Very Neat History!!!!!
This is a 1982 K5 2 wheel drive Blazer that was bought new by the Chicago and Northwestern Rail Road (see stickers on dash andwindshield). It was used on the tracks until about 1992 then sold to a surplus company and used as a daily driver until the late 90's. Ibelieveit has sat since then. Odometer reads 20,xxx miles???
The Blazer has the original 305 V8 and 700R4 transmission. It also has Air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. The body on this Blazer shows its age and it does have dings and dents (nothingterrible) and does have floor rust with the drivers floor being the worst (please look at pictures). The front seats appear to be nice, the dash has cracks, the rubber mats look good, steeringcolumnis tight. All the glass is good, butwindshieldis cracked. It does have the manual roll up window in the gate and not electric.Seems to be original paint.
This is a real 2WD Blazer and NOT converted from a 4x4 like so many others. It does haveremovable rail road equipment on the front and rear and 17.5 - 8 lug wheels and adapters from 5 lug to 8 still on it. If someone wanted this back to stock condition all it would take is to remove the bolted on front and rear rail equipment brackets, and unbolt the 5 lug to 8 lug wheel adapters in the front and rear and install normal 5 lug rims. That is it! All of the stock 5 lug suspensionis still there.
Again this blazer has sat for a long time and will need to betraileredhome. When i bought it I changed oil, put atemporarygas can and electric pump under the hood and she fired right up and ran good. The transmission went into gear and I was able to drive itaroundthe block. That is as far as I have driven it. All of the tires hold air, but are cracked and dry rotted. The brakes seem to work and all the lights checked out. The gas tank is shot from sitting. I have the rail roadequipmentremoved and sitting next to the Blazer now. It can be bolted back on or I think it will fit in the rear as there is no back seat
I will help with loading the Blazer and equipment (it will drive right up on a trailer) but thetemporaryfuel pump is not included with the sale.
Again this is a 100% original 2wd K5 that would make a great restoration project or very neat piece of railroad history. I do have a clean and clear Nebraska Title in hand.
Please remember this is a running / driving project but is in no way ready for the highway!
