Description of 1963 Chevrolet C-10 |
Restoration and customization processes have begun and include a 3” front and 5”rear suspension drop. The truck was taken down to the frame then the frame was sandblasted, primed and rebuilt with the drop suspension, new brake and fuel lines (All new polyurethane bushings come with the truck). A Painless 18 circuit wiring harness was installed along with a smaller Classic Performance Products power break booster. It has power steering and brakes from an ‘81 Suburban along with 17” Boyd Coddington Sidewinder rims with Toyo Proxes 4 24545R17 tires; it has a 5 lug bolt pattern all the way around. The engine is a 350 with ported and polished heads, roller rockers, a bigger cam, Edlbrock Ram Air-Gap intake with appropriate 650 Edlbrock 4 barrel carburetor and a true duel exhaust with 40 Series Delta Flow mufflers. It has the drop springs, lowered shocks, shock relocators, and a C-notch (not installed) for the rear frame. It has replacement high output headlights with appropriate harness. Rust has been removed from the front fenders and hood and new metal was welded in. Hood customization has begun by welding up the insert seam and frenching the blinkers. The front bumper bolts have been welded in and some bodywork done on both the front bumper and head light bezels and grill. The gas tank was removed from inside the cab and relocated behind the rear axle. 95 Honda Civic bucket seats were installed along with Autometer gauges and a custom gauge insert. It has an aftermarket radio, amp, 10” subwoofer and 3 way speakers. The filler neck hole was filled and a pocket created for a frenched-in power antenna. The truck still has rust repairs to be made to both doors, the cab and the bed. It doesn’t have a rear bumper. The head gaskets need to be replaced and heads decked. I have the original gauges, the spare tire rack, along with the old sealed head lights and some new weather stripping for the fire wall. |
