Description of 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
Custom 1956 Chevy 210. Completely stripped and rebuilt to better than new standards. During restoration power windows were added along with a Chevy 350 crate engine with Vortec heads and air conditioning. The interior is all aftermarket with a custom dash and full line of classic style VDO gauges. Paint on the car is nearly perfect everywhere except a few rock chips on the inside of the wheel wells. Body panels are smooth and straight. The car appears to have been painted when disassembled. It looks like a high end custom job. The chrome is all excellent. All body panels are steel as is the hood and deck lid. The cowl scoop is fiberglass but the rest of the hood is steel. The interior is professionally finished in black tweed that looks fantastic. Power windows all work properly. The custom dash was painted to match the car and looks great. The VDO gauges are installed at an angle towards the driver to make it easy to read fuel level. volts. oil pressure. and temperature. They all work with no problems as well as the lights and wipers. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD player has been installed and sounds great through the Pioneer speakers. Lokar shifter. AC blows cold and the heater works. The engine is a 1998 Chevy crate engine with a Holly 4 barrel carb. It has steel braided fuel lines. aluminum radiator. and electric fan. Power steering and power breaks make the care great to drive. The suspension has all been replaced and gives this car a very smooth ride. The transmission is a 350. Rear end gears are 3. 73s. Chrome Cragar S/S wheels are in great condition. Trunk has no rot and has a custom black tweed finish to match the interior. There is a battery shut off installed in the trunk. I purchased this car on Ebay on December 16. 2005 from a dealer in St. Louis. I later contacted the gentleman who built it - he lost the car in a divorce. The car is a real looker. a hit at car shows. and a blast to drive. Car is located in Indianapolis. IN. You can call Dwayne between 8am and 8pm EST with any questions at 317-339-2777. |
