Description of 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

1955 Hot Rod Rat Rod Gasser Patina Vintage Cruise Classic Performance Cool !!!Okay classic Hot Rodders, here is a really neat offering. This Chevy has all the elements of pure fun with performance as an added benefit. Pull this one into your local burger joint or cruise-in on a Friday night and you will have a crowd of spectators. This thing is laden with patina. It has one foot in the Rat Rod crowd as it is not all high tech and billet. Hot rodders will recognize that polished Enderle 14:71 bug catcher scoop with functioning butterflies attached to throttle linkage. I only know engine is a 355 cu. in. I went to install fresh set of valve cover gaskets and discovered Crane gold billet roller adjustable rockers. I do know it has a Pete Jackson timing gear drive. Has a Edelbrock Street Tunnel Ram. Has brand new Edelbrock 500 cfm 1403 series electric choke 4-bbl carbs with 1 1/2" spacers underneath. Has a nice fresh set of Doug Fenderwell headers. Camshaft specs. are unknown but engine has a radical thumper idle at 1000 rpm. With electric chokes that are wired correctly just hit the key and this thing is running. Has full MSD breakerless ignition system. Car is shown with no exhaust system except in last two photos. It comes with fresh exhaust into 10 series turbo mufflers and turnouts in front of rear tires. It is loud to say the least.Car has been 100% re-wired with complete fuse box system from Classic Industries. It has brand new ignition swith & keys. Car will pass inspection in all categories with exception of there is no wiper system on car due to tunnel ram setup. Rear tires are Hoosier 8 x 27.5 x 15 in super condition. Instrumentation for oil pressure & water temp is by Stewart Warner.Has brand new fuel tank with new steel gas line to fuel pump. New front parking light assemblies. New Moon Eyes tachometer. B&M shifter operates the powerglide transmission with 10" diameter, 2200 rpm stall converter. Car has all new brakes & wheel cylinders. New shocks at each corner. Car runs cool even in crusing situations. I just changed oil / filter after replacing vavle cover gaskets with 5w30 racing oil. AND the tank is topped off with 110 octane Turbo Blue so you are ready for cruising once this thing arrives in your town !!!!!!!!Things you may want to address: needs fuel guage fixed. Would need heater hoses ran if planning on enjoying in cool weather. Beyond that is up to you.NOTE: Front tires/wheels shown in all but last two photos are NOT a part of this auction. The car will have the classic SS Cragar wheels shown in those photos.Feel free to ask questions, I will respond.International bidders you are very welcome to get in on auction for this hard core cruiser. I have shipped a couple cars in the past to Norway & Sweden so I know this thing will be greatly appreciated in your part of the automotive world.I just want to wish everybody good luck and bid to WIN !!!! Modest reserve says it will more than likely get a NEW OWNER. Thanks - 1965vettes
