Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 |
This car started as a perfect, no rust, 6 cylinder car. It is the cleanest, straightest 69 Camaro we've ever seen. Professional body shop took off the original, no rust body while it went through a fullrotisserierestoration, no bondo, laser straight original body. Z28 hood purchased fromChevydealer. Original suspension was removed, the complete front and rear end suspension was removed from Corvette and installed in this '69 Camaro. The 31K mile Corvette motor and trans were also removed and installed into the car. Firewall was recessed 4" and the tunnel was modified 4" to allow for the Corvette transmission. Aluminum drive shaft was cut and balanced, rear was tubbed 3" on both sides for the rear end to rest perfectly on the original body. Original dash was removed and the Corvette column with cruise and tilt was installed, dash panel was cut to retro fit the Corvette gauges. Underside, outside and jams were sealed andcoveredin Sikkens premium blue pearl paint. Car rolls and steers and sits perfect on the original Corvette wheels and suspension, body gaps are all perfect. Needs: wiring, quarter glass, one door glass, interior, radiator and assembly. I planned on twin turbos on the original 330 HP motor and have original Corvette seats, original Camaro seats, original back glass, and new windshield. Have invested more than $50,000. Health forces sale before completion call 801-444-1555 if you need any more details or additional pictures. On Jul-15-16 at 08:59:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Original cost of car was 12,500, Paint was 8400.00, corvette parts 5000.00, Body mods to fit motor, trans and full suspension plus labor was more than 25,000. Professional Quality and detail in every aspect of this build. Never intended to sell. Was built to be able to perform as well as it looks, no cost was spared. Sadly my husband will not be able to enjoy this dream. Reserve is less than half of cost. GOV Deals sold a Dynacorn body with a carburated moto, five speed trans, no interior or column wiring, trim, glass, lights, gauges, bolts, cooling, needed complete assembly and fit and paint, it sold for 25k. I have clean clear title on this true American Built 69 Classic and far superior vehicle in every way. Thank You for looking and I hope the winner will appreciate what this car is. On Jul-15-16 at 21:45:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Unless you call and make agreeable arrangements with me before the auction end anyone w/a 0 feedback or no purchase history will be blocked from bidding. I reserve the right to end auction early if it sells locally first. Thank You for looking and all the compliments, it means a lot to us. |
