I am the third owner. I bought the car in 1983. At that time, it had 65,000 miles on it. It has always been kept in a garage. The body looks good from 20 feet, but has some damage where the right rear wheel escaped at 35 mph, due to stressed lug bolts. It's all there, it just needs the proper repair. (The rest of the lug bolts have been replaced.) The car was originally LeMans blue, but the second owner painted it orange (not the 1969 Corvette orange). The engine was replaced by the original owner with a 1969 Corvette 427-390 hp "automatic" engine so the numbers do not match, but it IS a '69 Corvette engine according to the stamp code. As far as I know, the rest of the car is original. It drives great - lots of power. The brakes are a little spongy. I put stainless steel calipers on it 20-25 years ago and bleed them every spring, but the right front may leak a little. The clock doesn't work all the time, the wiper door and headlight buckets are moody but the wipers, lights, radio and everything else works. I just don't drive it enough to justify keeping it. It deserves a new home with someone who will love it as much as I did.
