Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
For sale in our Chicago Showroom is this resto-mod 1957 Chevrolet 150. The Chevrolet 150 was always the "base model" of the tri-five Chevrolets. Typically they had crank windows, cloth seats, minimal options, and smaller-sized engine. This particular 150 has had new life breathed into it, and it now breathes fire right back out. The original engine and transmission were removed and replaced with a 502 big block Chevrolet engine. Helping stuff air into this massive motor is a 6-71 Dyers blower topped with a custom carbon fiber scoop making sure to catch as many CFM of air as it can. All of this brute force is backed by a Richmond 6-speed manual transmission through a custom drive shaft into a stout Ford 9" rear axle sporting a 3.90:1 gear ratio. The axle is held in place with a set of tubular control arms, and stays planted to the ground thanks to a coilover suspension setup. The interior has been completely updated to something you may expect form a foreign luxury car company with leather on the seats, and custom touches all over the cabin. The power rack and pinion steering make driving this classic Chevy a breeze. A set of sticky BF Goodrich tires launch this Chevy like a rocket ship. A set of aftermarket disc brakes help bring this hellion to a halt. The gloss black paint shines so deep it looks as if one could place their hand through the reflection. The glass is all in outstanding shape and the chrome rims sparkle in the sun. The carb is tuned in such a way that the engine fires with the bump of a key, and has phenomenal street manners. This black beauty can be easily cruised anywhere you want to go, and is ready to rip through the gears when you get there. With such an immense amount of work put into every aspect of this '57 Chevrolet 150, it's no wonder that there are virtually no parts left untouched by the builders of this vehicle. Options include: Custom Wheels, Leather Interior, Power Steering, Power Windows, and Radial Tires.
