1931 Chevrolet AE Independence 2 Door Sedan for sale in our Tampa Showroom. This is not a car you see every day and especially not in this condition. This car is a great example of what you would have seen cruising the streets in 1931, and quite possibly even nicer than original. Glossy Dark Green and Black Paint are accented by yellow pinstriping and yellow wire wheels to really give this car a cool look. Under the hood in the nicely detailed engine compartment sits a Stovebolt Six inline 6 cylinder engine that was rated at 50 horsepower that is believed to be original, mated to a 3 speed manual transmission. The interior is done in dark green mohair with a simple but elegant dash. The choke cable, throttle cable, key, and lights are about all you see to keep clutter down on this simple to drive 31 Chevrolet. Bias ply tires wrap the big wire wheels and a repair manual comes with the car for those simple fixes. There is nothing complicated about a 1931 Chevrolet, making them a car you can enjoy and fix yourself. Along with the horsepower increase in 1931 the 31 Independence received a higher, larger radiator along with a bowed tie bar carrying the headlights. Its hood gained vertical louvers on the raised side panels and wire wheels were now standard. Located in our Tampa Showroom, this vehicle can be seen in HD including pictures and a video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
