Up for sale is a 1966 Chevrolet C-10 short bed step side pickup with all new air ride suspension and a rebuilt engine. Exterior:- The paint is in great shape for a driver but does have some small imperfections here and there like some very small rock chips, small dings, etc. but overall it is a really good looking truck. There are NO rust bubbles, large cracks, obvious bondo spots, etc. that can be seen coming through.
- The grille, bumpers, emblems and driver door mirror are all in really good shape as well.
- The 20" American Racing Salt Flat Wheels and tires are practically new and have probably 1,000 miles or less on them.
- The wood bed is in really nice condition.
- The glass has some scuffs and scratches in some places but overall is in good shape with no large chips or cracks.
Interior:- The carpet is in good shape and is newer.
- The Lokar automatic floor shifter is new.
- The dash is in good shape overall and looks like it has had an aftermarket radio installed at some point and was cut up a little.
- The doors and door panels are all nicely painted.
- The seat cover is newer and in really good shape.
- There are aftermarket oil pressure and water temperature gauges mounted to the bottom edge of the dash, and the air suspension switches are mounted just to the right of the gauges.
Drivetrain:- The engine is a rebuilt 350 V8 (rebuilt by Blaine's Motor Supply in Dallas, TX in October 2015) with a Turbo 350 3 speed automatic. It has an aluminum 4 barrel intake manifold with an electric choke Edelbrock carburetor and starts right up. All of the usual things that get replaced when an engine is out are new such as spark plugs, plug wires, distributor, cap, rotor, thermostat, etc. The engine runs great and has really good oil pressure. It has long tube headers and dual exhaust that runs out the back of the truck and has a great sound. The enginebay is nice and clean. The radiator is new as well and has an electric fan wired to the ignition key.
Suspension:- The truck has all new front and rear air ride suspension with a ViAir compressor, 5 gallon tank and Airlift bags that were installed within the last year with the ability to adjust air pressure on each individual corner. The truck has been converted to 5 lug all the way around, with disc brakes and dropped spindles up front and new 5 lug axles and drum brakes out back. When the 5 lug conversion was done, new lower ball joints were installed. The rear frame section got a small C-notch welded in when the air ride was installed as well. The truck has manual steering and manual disc brakes but it is very easy to drive and stops very well with a nice solid pedal feel. The truck rides and drives down the road really well.
The truck is listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to remove it from auction at any time. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message, send me a text or call my non my cell phone at (214)682-5950 and I would be happy to talk with you and answer any questions I can.
