1955 CHEVY BEL AIR 2 DOOR SEDAN - 383 STROKER - DRIVER - HOT PRO STREET RAT ROD

This ’55 is a good driver quality car that you can enjoy right now without having to put any major work into it. Keep it dry and do basic maintenance, and it will make you money year after year. My reserve is reasonable, so if you want to go ahead and go through the car now, you can do it and not end up “upside down” in the car. The car was restored about 25 years ago, then shortly after the owner died. The guy I got the car from bought it after it sat for about 13 years and got it all running and driving again, but had other priorities in life, so I bought the car.

The car is powered by a 383 stroker with a “lumpy” cam / aluminum intake / Holley carb. The transmission is a TH400 automatic feeding a stock rearend with highway friendly gears. The car is cruise ready, but does need an electric conversion windshield wiper motor to replace the missing vacuum unit.

It’s getting harder and harder to find a reasonably priced ’55, so this is your chance to own one that can be driven and enjoyed right now without having to fork out $30-$60K+ for a trailer queen that you couldn’t drive and enjoy anyway!!!!!

As you can see in the pictures, the passenger’s side rocker has rust showing. The underside is solid, but as is usual for these cars there is some rust around the body mounts. Also the strap you see in the trunk is a temporary mount for the fuel tank strap, and needs to be made more pleasing to the eye.
