Description of 1969 Chevrolet C-10 Fleetside |
Please call 913-461-4890 with questions. A video of the truck can be seen here: Click here for video This will be the only time this truck appears on ebay. It is going to a collector car showroom if not sold here (and will no doubt be marked up there). If someone is smart, they're going to get a helluva nice truck for the price. It is ready to be driven, shown, or taken to cruise nights, parades, ice cream runs, or used as an attention-getting promotional vehicle.
Details: This 1969 Chevy CST C/10 is completely restored and ready to drive and enjoy. It was restored top to bottom approximately 5 years ago, with the previous owner using it as his weekend toy. It is a solid, rust-free truck with excellent body and paint work. It's rare to find one this loaded, and everything works. You can feel the quality of the truck in the way the doors, hood, and tailgate open and shut so nicely, with those crisp "clicks" you love to hear. It starts with the flip of the key, and never needs more than a couple pumps of the pedal to fire up. See the video link for more details and a better view of the truck. The truck was re-finished professionally in a base/clear color similar to Marina Blue, but the hue is even brighter and prettier than that. There are no dents, dings, or rust, and the paint is deep, lustrous, and shows very well. The body is very clean and straight, and is complemented by all new CST side trim, new emblems, chrome door handles, new chrome bumpers, new grille, headlight bezels and high-intensity "cool blue" headlights, new rear taillights and bezels, new weatherstripping throughout, and new windshield. A custom, flush-fitting tonneau cover was installed and painted to match, and includes gas shocks and locks. The bed is clean, straight, and finished in a tough, semi-gloss black spray-in bed liner material. A receiver hitch is neatly installed below the license plate frame. The outside is finished off with new 5 spoke chrome wheels that wear Michelin tires. The truck is running a GM 350 crate motor, 4bbl Edelbrock carb and aluminum intake, headers, with a little chrome/polish and painted fenderwells for a neat, clean, professional look. A 700R4 overdrive transmission shifts things, and it clearly has a shift kit or mild stall, as it is nice and firm through all gears. Power steering and Power Disc/Drum brakes both make the truck easy to drive and work well. New dual exhaust was just installed and sounds excellent. Undercarriage is stock, clean, and was neatly blacked out with 80% chassis black. Inside the bucket seat/console interior, metal surfaces were refinished to the same beautiful quality as the exterior. Upholstery and carpet are newer and in good condition, with no rips or tears and showing only slight wear. The dash pad, headliner, door panels, door handles, and kick panel speaker combination are all new. The CD stereo works great, as do all of the gauges, including the tach, gas, oil, and temp gauges. The steering wheel is newer GM and is much more comfortable than the original. Headlights, wipers, signals, horn, and even the windshield squirters all work as they should. The only flaws we're aware of are a pencil-eraser sized flaw just below the rear window, and a similar-sized flaw on the aluminum trim on the passenger bedside. On two occasions the ignition didn't fire the truck over. We had it inspected by our mechanic and he tried to replicate the issue but couldn't. It has otherwise always started flawlessly, leading us to believe it is just a loose wire/connection. Were this a short bed, it would easily bring $25k or more, but since it's not, we've priced it accordingly, so please keep this in mind. Shop around the classic car dealers--we're sure you won't find a nicer truck that's better sorted, equipped, in better colors and condition than this one for the money. Personal inspections are welcome and we feel will seal the deal. Call us at 913-461-4890 with questions or to arrange a visit. Hopefully you'll be the lucky new owner. Terms: READ THIS: This is not a game to us, nor should it be to you, so please: 1) Do NOT bid until and unless you have your finances and permissions in order. 2) Do NOT bid until you are satisfied on the condition of the truck. 3) Personal inspections are encouraged. 4) Be realistic: This is a 47 YEAR old truck, not a 47 DAY old truck. It is super nice and runs great, but is not perfect and will have minor flaws, just like every other classic vehicle being sold anywhere on the planet. 5) Vehicle is sold "as is, where is" and has no warranty, expressed or implied. 6) A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 3 business days of auction close, and full payment must be done within 7 business days of auction close. 7) Vehicle remains with us until payment in full is verified. 8) We can help arrange shipping to your front door but, 9) Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. 10) We do NOT believe in charging ridiculous prep and paperwork fees of up to $500 like most dealers. We will only charge actual costs if you require overnighted documents and a $20 fee if paying by wire transfer. |
