Description of 1946 Chevrolet Other Pickups |
You are buying two (2) trucks for the price of one!! Up for sale is my 1946 Chevy short wheel base pick-up rat rod project as well as a fully bagged 1997Chevy S-10 / Sonoma pick-up truck. The plan was that theS-10was going to be the donor truck for the 1946 Chevy and my intention was doing a complete body swap. My goal when finished was to have the late-model frame, suspension and drive train of theS-10 including power steering, power disc brakes, fuel injection, overdrive transmission and even air conditioning as well as being fully air-bagged, but with the classic 1946 truck body, styling and patina. This auction is for both trucks so that you can either complete the swap that I had intended you could do a restoration on the 1946 to its original glory and sell the bagged Sonoma, or whatever you heart desires. Just to be clear however, THIS IS FOR BOTH TRUCKS. The 1946 Chevy was purchased out of the barn in Alabama. The truck is remarkably solid considering it's age and only has mostly surface rust throughout the body. There is a rust hole in the back of the passenger side front fender but otherwise the truck and bodyappears to bevery solid. The truck comes with MANY extra parts including an additional chrome grill (in great condition), extra running boards, extra driver and passenger front fenders, extra driver and passenger doors, an extra hood, window and stainless trim, window glass, a complete dash board, front filler panels, even the original front windshield frame. The 1946 is still currently sitting on its factory frame and suspension although I have already removed the original 216cid straight six motor which have been sold so the truck is currently a roller. Please note, THIS TRUCK IS NOT FOR SALE BY ITSELF NOR AM I INTERESTED IN SELLING OFF PARTS AND PIECES. The 1997Chevy S-10 / Sonoma is a complete running/driving truck that was used as a daily driver from the guy I bought it from. It has the largest motor available which is the Vortec 4.3L fuel injected V6 engine backed by an overdrive 4 speed automatic transmission and just over 127K miles on the odometer. As previously noted, the S-10 has already been converted to full airbag suspension and is capable of raising and lowering approximately 12 inches. The frame has been c-notched and reinforced and the truck has 8 switches and 1/2 inch airlines. This allows the truck to be driven normally like any other vehicle, then once parked simply flip the switches, deflate the airbags and watch the truck drop down and lay the frame on the ground. This would also be true to the 1946 once the conversion is complete. THIS TRUCK IS NOT FOR SALE INDIVIDUALLY, THIS IS A PACKAGE DEAL ONLY. Both trucks come with a clean and clear Florida title and are being sold "as is" and "where is". Please don't waste my time with low-ball offers, trade offers, request to buy some parts, or request to buy just one truck as you will be ignored. This is a fantastic deal on something that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. These 1940's Chevy trucks are only getting harder and harder to come by and this one comes with a complete fully bagged donor truck AND a bed full of extra parts!! You could part this out andpracticallydouble your investment. Thank you for your interest and feel free to ask questions. Both vehicles located at my home in Ocala, Fl 34482. $1000. Deposit to be paid through PayPal within 24 hours and the balance with cash in no longer than 7 days. It is absolutely the buyers responsibility to ask questions and do your own homework as what you see is what you get (being sold "as-is" and "where-is"). All sales are considered final and transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. Thanks and happy bidding. |
