Description of 1946 Chevrolet Other Pickups |
1941 1946 Chevrolet Chevy Truck Pickup I'm not exactly sure what year this truck is. I would say its either a '41 or a '46. I purchased this from a farmer in Northwest Kansas. This truck was left on the farm when he purchased it, he bought the farm from an estate, then sold the truck to me, so - this truck will be sold with a State of Kansas bill of sale and no title. This is no issue in Kansas, but I will help with whatever paperwork you need in your state. This truck is being sold with no reserve. The gentleman I purchased this from told me that thepervious owner had a 30's model ford that had quit running. This Chevy was originally a wrecker, and he was going to put the dump bed from the ford on this Chevy, but never got it done. He passed away - and here we are. This truck is very complete and original. Unfortunately, the mice builtnests above the rear cab support, and above the windshield wipers, which caused some rust issues, in an area that is known for rust free vehicles. I tried to get good pics of these areas, other than that, this is actually a pretty straight and solid old truck. The engine is free and turns over by hand, and the transmission goes in and out of all gears just fine. It does have a 2 speed rear end, and I assume it works, but have no way of knowing. I do have the other two wheels, and they are included in the sale. The side windows and rear glass are in pretty good shape, but the windshields have delaminated pretty bad. All the glass on these old Chevy's is flat and really cheap. Overall, a pretty straight ol' truck except the areas mentioned. I want to make sure you know exactly what you are getting so please call or text Cort at 620-786-5172 with any questions or for additional pictures. I rescue old trucks all over Kansas for a hobby and try to find them good homes. I have 100% positive feedback, so feel confident bidding. I am easy to work with on holding vehicle as long as it is paid for in a timely manner. I have a forklift and any needed equipment to load for free. Thank you and good luck. |
