Originally assembled on April 9, 1965, this 1965 Corvette has been finished in the extremely desirable Black/Red color combination, and is in very nice condition as well. This car's paint looks to be newer, and is good-vg with a great shine. A 1967 big block stinger style hood has been added. With the exception of the windshield, all exterior glass in this car shows a correct date code. Chrome bumpers are vg with a newer finish, and weatherstripping and taillights are vg-exc. Knockoff style wheels are vg-exc with vg-exc center caps, and Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 radial tires with added redlines showing an average of 10/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this car shows vg-exc recent leather seats, carpet, door panels, center console, gauges, glovebox lid, GM style seatbelts, and dash pods. Clock is currently working with a correct non-quartz movement, and cutpile floor mats with Corvette flag logo have been added. The numbers matching engine in this 1965 Corvette shows original casting date March 25, 1965, and final assembly date April 5, 1965. Other additions include an L79 air cleaner, chrome reproduction L79 style valve covers, and an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold. Frame is solid and rust-free. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition.
