Description of 1950 Chevrolet Other Pickups |
Up for auction is our beautiful, patina, 1950 Chevrolet 3100 Short Bed 5 Window Pickup Truck. To start off, don't let the rally wheels fool you on this one. This is a complete professional frame off restoration with the original frame, sheet metal and paint. This is not a thrown together cheaply built S10 frame, or Camaro clip truck. I posted over a 100 pictures in the description showing the truck and build process in great detail. The truck started out as a rust free, original paint, 3100 short bed from the state of Oregon. The body still has all of its original sheet metal and is rust free. No patches, body filler etc. Still wearing it’s original 66 year old paint with the nicest patina I have ever seen. The truck has the chrome moldings, grill, bumpers and a very hard to find front overider. The truck runs, rides, drives, stops, and steers perfect. No issues, all the lights, signals, dash lights, dome lamp etc all work. Ready for you to fly in and drive it home. I was going to change the wheels and tires to give it the look, but figured I would leave it for the new owner to pick his own personal taste and save a few bucks on the purchase. It would look killer with some steelies and wide whites or nice set of 18/20s. The doors and hood shut very nice and effortlessly. All front sheet metal lines up perfect. The interior has new weather stripping and comes complete with dynamat through out the cab of the truck. New Glide split-bench seat covered to match the new door panels and headliner. Tilt steering column is patina'd to match the dash. New leather wrap steering wheel and Lokar shifter. The interior is quiet and tight. I did leave the original bed wood and crack in the windshield to go along with the look of the truck. The truck rolls down the highway all day long at 80mph with one hand on the wheel. It’s a real blast to drive. Here is the breakdown on the truck
