1949 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup- This is one cool old truck that's very hard to find. She rides and drives like a 49 but gets tons of attention wherever you go. Its been lowered with blocks andby deleafing the front leaf springs which causes it to bottom out over big bumps but hard to notice on the open road. Its sitting on a set of 22 inch transport wheels with like new tires. The 235 6 cyl motor runs like a dream. It has a new carb that's set up perfect always starts right up even if its sets for a while and motor is very strong to be what it is. Has been upgraded with front disks. Stops very good but is a little darty. Clutch is good and 3 speed columnshift transmission shifts like it should without stacking gears or hunting for gears although you will get the occasional 3rd gear scratch if you shift her too quick. Headlights work but are dim I assume its a ground issue and when it happened I lost the tail lights. Has a small draw and will need to unhook the battery if its going to sit forweeks.Dash lights, dimmer, oil pressure, interior lights, and gas hand(although sometimes it jumps around) still all work. The speedometer does not work. Both windows roll up and down and has good glass butthe cranks are starting to strip and need the screw tightenedup after a couple of uses and the door handle is the same way (will need all new handles to be perfect). The reason I fell in love with the truck other than how cool it is was how solid the old truck is. Its been painted once but doesn't have any bondo in the truck. Floor pan at bothkick panels have a spot about half the size of a golf ball (pictured)and both cab corners have a small amount of rust about the size of a magic marker turned sideways (pictured) but its so minimul you cant se it behind the running boards unless you lay on the ground. Top has 3 holes caulked up from a lightbut is very very solid truck. The rest of the truck is in great shape considering its age. All the fenders, hood (been painted), running boards, and doors (with the exception of the left door at the front edge are very straight. I see so many of these trucks that the fenders are solid but look like wrinckled up tin foil. VERY SOLID STRAIGHT TRUCK that you can drive around and not be scared to throw some tools in it. Please understand this is one awesome truck and I hate to pick it apart but I tried my best to do the best job I can describing any issues with the truck no matter how small. I LOVE driving the truck and hate to see it go but need the money. (864)650-6276 feel free to text or call. Any more pictures you need I'm more than happy to take more. Thanks!!
