Description of 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible |
This is a good looking chrome rear bumper Corvette Convertible that is tofundrive andenjoy and has what appears to be a no hit body and a solid frame and a dependable non original 350 ( believed to be a 72 block) with a automatic transmission and factory AC. Read through the description look at all the photos and then check out the video listed at the bottom. This information should give you a real good idea about the car. Buy this car if you want to have a great time with the top down and go to the cruise nights in a very presentable car that looks runs and drives real good. Consistent gaps in the doors and the hood. Very straight body. As with all old cars there may be some things you want to change, but this car has had recent brake booster replacement, New fuel tank - tank sticker was not found, windshield frame repair and windshield replacement (no worries about the birdcage - solid good repair). Newer soft top. The car was originally Metallic Yellow but painted about 8 years ago red. The paint looks good and shiny but has chips and nicks and was a paint job that was taped off and does not appear to be a true super professional one (expect a decent shiny street presentable car). I have a ton of receipts on the car that date back to the early eighties. The car currently has working lights, turn signals, and parking brake. The entry lights work in the interior and behind the seats!. Has the Tilt/Telescopic Wheel - Telescopic works, but for some reason the tilt does not. The pop up head lights work properly. The AC is all there, but not operating. The car has original Rally Wheels and a good set of tires with plenty of life left on them. The speedometer, tach, gas gauge, oil pressure gauge and temperature gauge all register. The only area of rust damage I could find under the car is on the bottom of the radiator surround support. I have attached a photo of that showing a bolt in the center. This is a replaceable part if it concerns you. With it being so small I personally would see no reason to rush to replace it though. The car decodes out that it came with a automatic, but this car does have a clutch pedal on the floor, so you have a easier start if you want to change it out to a four speed. Heck since it is not the original engine or color why not use this nice solid car to make it the car you want. You can buy this Convertible for the price that some Coupes sell for, so don't miss out on this car. I personally own the car free and clear and have a North Carolina title that matches the VIN and have a deep file of old receipts on the car. Oh and I will include the super rare and cool personalized 73 VET plate from the 1981 presidential inauguration that is shown in the photos! Please bid to buy and I request a personal inspection of the car before it departs from my home. I want the buyer to be satisfied with the car before they complete the purchase of the car. If there is something that is not what you thought before we close the deal I will do every thing I can to make it right with you so you are happy with the purchase before you leave to take it to your home and enjoy this cool 73 Convertible Corvette in your own town! Feel free to send any questions or give me a call on the car. 252-916-4367 Click 1973 Corvette to see a YouTube Video of this car starting, running and driving. |
