Picked up this 1971 Chevy Custom 20 back in April of this year. It came out of the factory in Light Red inside & out.It was an original fire truck (Not sure what dept.)then at some pointthe Mountain Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. in Squaw Valley, Calif. took possession of it& changed the exterior to white. Still has the station's Motorola radio's. It's outfitted with a Koenig utility body (a couple of the box door's latchesneed to be replaced) out of Houston Texas & was installed by Thatcher Body Co. in San Francisco Calif. in 1971. There is a power hook up in the box & also has outlet's on the floor in front of the seat. It's powered by a fresh 350ci.(everything on the motor is new)with a turbo hydra-matic auto transmission & a 14 bolt heavy duty rear axle. Has power steering & power brake's. Tire's are in good shape as are the brake's. Has a chrome front bumper & a heavy duty step bumper on the rear. The body is pretty straight but does have some rust bubbles in the lower door corners, one spot on the passenger side of the bed right in front of the tire & a little in the floors right next to the rocker. The right front cab brace also has some rust, everything else on the cab is good. The door's shut nice & tight. Single exhaust with a new muffler installed, sounds really good. The dash is original & un-cut, the OG steering wheel is like new. The seat need's to be recovered. Also have the owner's manual & the Custom 20 emblem's in the glove box. This thing drives down the road really nice for a 45 year old 3/4 ton truck. I've seen a few of these truck's lowered or air bagged that are pretty cool, if your into that we could do the work for you before it leave's the shop. If you have any question's shoot me an e-mail & I'll get back to you. The truck is being sold as-is with no warranty. I can deliver within 500 miles or to a shipping port for a fee. Thanks
