Description of 1976 Chevrolet El Camino |
1976 El Camino-Owned for past 32 years. Purchased in 1984. Third owner. TIME FOR A NEW HOME. This car was completely redone in 1993. Has been driven less than 15000 miles since 1993. It has the original numbers matching 350-4 bolt main engine mated to a Muncie 4 speed with 11" clutch and flywheel, along with a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter, and a posi-traction 390 differential with new Richmond gears. Engine was completely rebuilt in 1993, bored .060 over, forged Pistons, dual sprocket timing chain, rebuilt original heads with ceramic coated headers, Eldebrock aluminum intake with 4 barrel carb, aluminized 2 1/2 in exhausted, Corvette aluminum valve covers. Options on this car are Factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Cruise control, tilt steering, factory radio and more. Exterior is in very good condition with black lacquer paint. Paintwork has flaws throughout but nothing major. I would give the paint a 7/10.New GM quarter panels in 1993. Exterior chrome is in excellent condition. All original tinted glass. This is a no hit, accident free vehicle to the best of my knowledge. Frame is in excellent condition, and has big block suspension springs, Corvette 8" riims and trim rings with center caps. Interior is all original except for new carpe, dash pad installed in 2012. Interior is in excellent condition and shows very little wear for a car over 40 years old. Recent upgrades: New air shocks, new water pump, master brake cylinder, new air conditioning compressor, and new battery. You will hard pressed to find a nicer classic El Camino that needs nothing. It turns heads everywhere. A 350, 4 speed, 390 positive traction differential that is geared to take you anywhere. This is a true beauty! $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close via PayPal. The remainder due at the time of pickup. Vehicle shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I do have some shipping contacts that I can refer you to. This is overall a very nice El Camino but is an old car and has some flaws. The car is available to inspect in person in Fort Wayne, IN.
