Description of 1993 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 |
NO RESERVE 1993 Chevy Suburban, low miles. Was used by one owner at a 501(c)(3) as an Emergency Medical Service (EMS) vehicle for all of its life so far. Had significant customized interior and exterior. All of that has been removed except the dual battery and its switch. (now a nice theft protection, maybe?) Vehicle has Virginia safety inspectionand hasmet emissions requirement for licensing in northern Virginia. My mechanic noticed the washer does not work but that is not required in Virginia to pass safety inspection. The wiper motor had some intermittent problem while diagnosing but it worked when getting safety check. In addition to the Virginia safety sticker, the vehicle has a Pennsylvania safety inspection sticker good thru 5/17 The previous owner described the tires as Kevlar sidewalls top of the line. Engine specs 7.4 liter, 454. I am not an engine guy so if you want more details, ask. Previous owner described intermittent issue in reverse, it stutters some of the time in reverse. I have noticed this can be slight or not at all. Previous owner described what they think needs to be done to fix and explained they never had it fixed because it worked and could not justify the expense given they had plans to upgrade. Vehicle operates in reverse. If I end up keeping it, I will not get it repaired until reverse fails, you decide for yourself. Vehicle is sold "as is" with no warranty. The vehicle was just detailed to remove the exterior stickers and clean it in general. There are nicks, rust and dents that might be reasonable for a 1993 vehicle. The lights on the roof have the mounting and wiring holes covered by a RV roof sealer tape - no leaking. Holes for the cable harness have been covered, carpet holes are under seats, out of view. Spare tire included, all tires have good tread. The customization replaced the front seat floor console with home made mount for radios, that was removed and there is no third seat. I bought it to just haul things and tow a horse trailer, it looks nice now but not so nice I'd worry about a ding or scratch. I have many more pictures but hit the limit of 24, I can send other images if you like. I am selling because I bought another newer fancier Suburban and it is hard to justify keeping them both. Recent repairs (Sept 29, 2016)replace muffler/catalytic converternew water pump and other leaks being fixed I will answer questions you may have, just ask. Good luck with your bid. |
