This is a complete Frame Off Resto that took over 2 years to do. We have pictures of the resto that go with the car. This car was taken on the Hot Rod Power Tour and was built to drive with new bushings. upgraded rear end. and power steering. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and Heartbeat of the Chevy. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So. that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. It was set off the frame and pulled apart. What metal work was needed was done and it was primed and blocked until it was laser straight. Everything is covered in the two tone Glazier Blue over Skyline Blue. The stainless was cleaned and what would not cleanup was replaced. All new bumpers were installed as well as other new chrome. The glass is new with new seals and weather stripping. Everything was put together with time and a great eye for detail to ensure a good fit. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” Ralleys with New Tires. Next. we will take a look at the interior of the ’55. When you look on the inside the same eye detail is evident. The dash was sanded and painted to match the exterior. Vintage Heat and AC was installed along with a new wiring harness. To keep the stock look they mounted the aftermarket radio under the seat and left the factory radio in the dash. The seats were recovered in the date correct covers along with new door panels. carpet. and headliner. Finally. we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it’s powered by a 350 that has been bored 20 over with an Aluminum Intake. The exhaust runs thru coated headers and duals. To keep it cool they installed an Aluminum Radiator and electric fan. The trans is a 700R that’s hooked to a 10 Bolt Rear end with a 342 Gear. It has Power Steering and Front Disc Brakes. It has all new Bushings front and rear. Also it has a new fuel system as well as all new brakes lines. The bottom of this ’55 is top notch being done in Red Oxide Primer and everything being detailed.
