Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro |
The paint, four-speed, rumbling exhaust, and performance-built 383 stroker V8 everything is mean on this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro except the price. If cars were actors, there would be no doubt that this one could play a villain in every movie. The shiny jet black paint looks like it is out to consume all of the light around it, and the hidden RS headlamps make the front end look like it wants to inhale the road ahead. The mean attitude is continues on the front where the bumper has been removed without a trace and the air dam gives this tough guy and even wider jaw. And of course, the power bulge cowl hood is pure intimidation. The iconic Rally wheel package has larger rear tires for an intimidating stance that reminds everyone where all the power gets to the ground. And the dark tinted windows continues this sinister profile. It all ends with a proper D80 spoiler and a peek at the shiny exhaust tips and rear diff cover.Step inside, and this Camaro is just as deep and dark as the exterior. But a mean appearance doesn't it's uncomfortable. The premium custom trim level means nice bucket seats with the logo in the headrests. These look fantastic and the Camaro door panels match nicely, too. You get a newer three-spoke sports steering wheel and beyond that the large SunPro tach gives you the most important information of this performance machine. The wood paneling of the center of the dash tries to give this Camaro a warm feeling, but the auxiliary gauges and Hurst shifter just below it really let you know there's something mean under the hood. The engine bay looks like it was forged to do battle on the streets. This 383 stroker V8 has had nearly $7,000 invested to add in all the right components, such as JE SRP forged pistons, Crower forged rods, Crower roller cam, and plenty more to create a stout powerplant (call for full details.) On top of that are upgrades like the Quick Fuel four-barrel racing carb, Edelbrock aluminum hi-rise intake, and Moroso aluminum valve covers. This is all backed up by reliable components, including billet timing set, aluminum flex fan, and MSD ignition. Add in long tube headers that feeds the massive 2.5-inch dual exhaust, and this is one impressive power package with the growl to let everyone know it. You're in complete control of the sound and fury of this V8 thanks to the Muncie M21 four-speed manual. It connects to a stout 12-bolt rear end with Positraction, traction bars, and a 4.10 ratio for power take-offs. Plus, the power steering and front disc brakes help keep this total power package under control.Simply put, this Camaro makes no apologies for what it is. It's the aggressive bad guy on the streets, and you'll feel sooooo good driving it. Call today!!! |
