Description of 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle |
This is an incredibly solid survivor car - just pulled out of dry storage where it has sat for the past 25 years. 138 car with its original 396 with factory A/C and 12 bolt rear end - 92K original miles. This will be a straight-forward survivor project that will yield a very original SS cruiser at the end of the day. The engine is an EKH - 325 HP with Powerglide auto transmission and Holley carb. The engine stamp matches the VIN, everything looks completely original including the factory air conditioning. Interior is mostly in good shape - driver's bucket seat is worn through and passenger's shows wear. The carpet has minor fading but is still together, the back seat is in very good shape. The convertible power top looks to be in very good condition - back window is yellowed. Drivers door card, window winder, door pull are off the door but included with the car. The Madeira Maroon paint looks original and most will come back with a good cut/buff. There is some fading on the hood - I can only think some brake fluid was spilled then wiped up hastily. There are of course chips, scratches and dents to be expected w a 50 year old car. The car swiped something very lightly on the passenger front - the back of the fender and front of the door are bumped very slightly and some rust has formed on the damage on the front of the door (in photo). Rear bumper tells a similar story - looks to have been bumped slightly with a small rust through spot on the decklid. The trunk has also one rust through spot by the filler spout - otherwise very solid. Floorpans and frame are in incredibly solid condition with no rust. The rest of the body looks really straight and original. Full size spare, jack, and top cover included. Driver's hubcap was found and is included. The car is ready for transport in Dallas, TX. Clear TX title in hand. Please contact me through eBay or phone at nine7zero 3three1 9seven9two On Oct-11-16 at 18:49:50 PDT, seller added the following information: EDIT: I have misplaced the keys. I had them (pictured a couple times) and remember leaving them in the car, but could not find them last visit. Please consider them lost. |
