Description of 1970 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport

1970 Nova SS 36,000 Original Miles

1970 Nova SS 36,000 Original Miles. Complete history dating back to original purchase in 1970 from Ed Stinn Chevrolet, 21201 Center Ridge Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126. My neighbor purchased this car new in 1970, so, please do not comment on whether this is a true SS or not! I’ve known the car since the day it was born! I also have digital copies of 12 original photos from 1972 that will be included with the sale. This car is an original SS, 4 Speed, 12 Bolt Rear, Disc Brake, bench seat car, however, bucket seats were installed in the mid ‘70’s. The power brake booster was removed due to big cam, low vacuum, but still has original disc brakes. This car is part of a collection, and has always been stored in a humidity controlled garage, and has not been wet the entire 24 years that I have owned it. Cleaning consists of dusting and polishing only, no water! The entire under carriage of the car was cleaned to bare metal and painted several years ago. Front seat belts were restored for fresh webbing and had date code tag sewn back on. All seatbelt hardware plating is pristine. Has the front and rear bumper guard option. Original GM bumper guard boxes and instructions were saved and are included with the car. All sheet metal and emblems are original to car including all SS emblems; no reproduction stuff here. Headers with full exhaust and tail pipes exiting at correct location. Rear-end differential is fresh including 4.56:1 gears, axles, seals, u-joints, correct differential cover, bolts, and posi tag. Engine decode states: [’68 327, 325 HP, Manual Trans. Special Hi Perf.]. Engine is 0.60 over which equals 337 ci with 12.5 to 1 TRW pistons, 7-quart Moroso deep oil pan, pretty big cam; don’t remember specs, Moroso rocker arm stud girdles, double hump fueler heads, aluminum hi-rise manifold, Pertronix distributor, and Holley 750 double pumper. Original Muncie transmission was blueprinted and has Hurst shifter with period correct ball. Period correct Sun Super Tach, Oil Pressure and Temp. gauges. Also has Lakewood blow-proof bellhousing, drive shaft loop, and J-bolt traction bars. Has an in dash AM/FM stereo cassette player. Paint has some checking on the roof. I have owned this car for 24 years so this is obviously not another one of those flips you see listed on eBay.

Please note that all sales are binding and final. Vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty expressed, written or implied.
