Description of 1951 Chevrolet Other Base Sedan 4-Door |
Have for sale a 1951 Chevy Styleline. This car has been in our family for the past 7 years and was completely stock at that time. The original engine and transmission were removed for a more powerful and fun to drive v8. The engine is a 350 crate motor with automatic transmission. The transmission is upgraded with a shift kit and has oil cooler. The rear axle assembly was removed and changed from the enclosed driveshaft style to a Chevy s10 posi rear with custom made driveshaft. At that time the brakes were upgraded to power brakes using Lincoln navigator brake booster. Still has drum all around with stock suspension. The interior was in rough shape and we found a full leather interior out of a 1979 Mercedes at our local salvage yard. The seats fit great and match the car very well. Has a lokar shifter installed. The door handles were shaved and has a door popper installed for the driver door only. Have the remote the rest of the doors can be converted also. There is a fuel cell mounted in the trunk. We have extra glass and all the chrome trim for the car. It does have one cracked window which we do not have. Also included are the side skirts for over the rear tires. This car has been driven often in the past 7 years and has been a really fun car. We have moved on to another project and want to pass this one on to someone else. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things please email with any questions. This was a great father and son project car. Not perfect but didn't need to be to enjoy it. It fires right up and I would drive it anywhere. |
