Description of 1971 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyenne |
1971 K10 4x4. This K10 is one of only 3068 short box four wheel drives made in 1971. It is an original 4 speed manual floor shift with lockout hubs. The paint is nicely done in period correct GM medium blue 2088 and white 2185, in my opiniona show driver. If you are a fan of these trucks its hard to find one that doesn't have the dash and doors cut up for stereo's over their life span, but this one does not. The only speaker in it is located in the factory center dash spot and the stereo is a new style with MP3 input that fits stock cut out. Many new parts including paint, interior, crate GM big block engine, exhaust, factory rally wheels, 35" BFG mud terrains, glass, etc. The body lines are clean, but not perfect. All trim and bumpers and other chrome is new. The lift is a 4" suspension lift and does not have a body lift. The front is lifted with springs and the rear with spring blocks. This K10 drives like a 45 year old lifted shortbox - drives straight but you wont mistake it for a Cadillac. The engine is a new GM 454 with under 2500 miles on it. It runs strong and starts with a few pumps and an instant turn of the key. It will run on choke and idle down as it should with the Edelbrock carburetor. It has ceramic headers with flow master mufflers and 45 degree tail pipes out the rear. This pictures were taken before the exhaust was on. I know I am forgetting much about the truck but I know what I have and I know serious buyers will too. For those of you who need to know why I am selling it - I love the truck, it's just not for me. I had 2wd lowered C10's and this thing is a different animal every which way. I like low to the ground and less rubber to clean! I'm in the hunt for another 2wd shortbox C, so this one is going. If I were to keep it, the lift would be removed and a nice set of 32" BFG's would be installed - but that's my taste. I will get more pictures and a video posted in the next few days. Feel free to ask any questions. Obviously there is no warranty, US (and I suppose Canada) bidders only. I'll help with shipping, but the cost is on you. Please don't bid if youre not going to pay, it gets expensive and time consuming reposting and opening up unpaid item claims.
