| We're proud to offer for your consideration this highly desirable 1963Chevrolet Impala. It's rare to find a car from this era with only two owners. It's past is easily traced from the time of it's build in St. Louis. It was sold new at a dealership in Kansas City and bought by it's current owner from the original owner in 1995 in Saginaw, MO. The current owner and his Father did most of the restoration work in the few years following the purchase. The car has spent the majority of it's time since the restoration in a climate controlled garage. The body color is Emerald green with an Ultra white top. Only Dupont/PPG paint products were used and the paint looks great still today. The wheels were purchased in 1998 and are the popular 100 spoke triple chrome Dayton wire wheels, 14x7. Each wheel has an individual serial number. The Impala does come with the original hubcaps also! Thefender skirts are an after market add on the current owner did when they painted the rest of the car.Dual antennas were added, one being a dummy antenna. The fleck stone paint in the truck is original and 90% or more is all there with just some random chips here and there. The 283 ci motor isn't the original motor but is the correct motor that the car came out with. The current motor was pulled from an early 70's pickup and was rebuilt in 1996. The motor has 305 heads, a mild cam, and a standard .30 bore/hone. Siting atop the Edelbrock intake is a 1404 Edelbrock carb. The dress up parts are all Edelbrock performer series - aluminum script valve covers, breather, and matching air filter housing. The car does come with the OEM air cleaner housing. The transmission is the factory two speedpowerglideand was rebuilt in 2000. The exhaust is 2.5 inch aluminizedpiping and glass packs. The interior is mostly OEM except the headliner, dash pad, and rear deck have been replaced. Carpets and seats all looked good with no rips or major stains. The car has a Kenwood AM/FM CD player installed. The original AM radio comes with the car and is believed to have been a working radio when removed many years ago. Please note in the photos that door and kick panels would need replaced if you wanted to bring the car to show level. Parts to replace both door and kick panels would be under $400. All the stainless and chrome is OEM. The Impala comes with a California Car Cover customfitted to the car. Cowl tag decoding is as follows: Style 63-1847 - 1963 Impala 2-Dr sport coupe 8 cylBodySL - St. LouisTrim 853 - Aqua interior - clothPaint 918 - Azure aquaACC - F-C F-unknown, C-padded dash The owner states the transmission slips a little when cold but operates smoothly once the cars warmed up. Also a ticking was observed coming from the passenger side bank. The owner states his mechanic believes this is a loose lifter most likely at the cam lobe. I know there's several remedies out there to quite lifters and not sure what methods may have been tried if any on this Impala. More photos of the car can be seen via thephotobucket link at the top of the auction. We do our best to inspect vehicles we sell in detail and note any imperfections in our listings.
