Description of 1976 Chevrolet C-10 K-10 4x4. Scottsdale trim package

1976 Chevrolet K10.

Brand new 454 big block with new Edlebrock carb and intake, rebuilt automatic transmission with firm shift kit, tilt steering, A/C, factory tach, Rally wheels with newer 31x10.50 Radial LT tires, front power/disc brakes, factory 4:11 locking differentials, dual tanks, new 3” dual exhaust, beautiful black paint with burgundy interior, no rust.

History: I bought this truck from the original owner in September 2016. He ordered the truck from Ed Roberts Chevrolet in Bonner Springs, Kansas on December 1, 1975 and took delivery of it on February 11, 1976. The truck comes with the original, hand-written dealer order sheet as well as the original factory build sheet/window sticker, two original dealer brochures (both are in mint condition), original owner’s manual, etc. This is all original documentation, not recreation stuff you can buy online. It even comes with the original warranty card and pamphlet that has been in the glovebox since the truck was new, and all receipts and service records dating back to the '70's. I have included photos of all the original paperwork, receipts, and the factory option label.

This truck is loaded with tons of good factory equipment such as locking differentials, dual fuel tanks, fuel tank shields, skid plates, dual exhaust, variable ratio power steering, tachometer, chromed rear bumper, air conditioning, heavy duty front and rear shocks, 4:11 gears, Rally wheels, automatic transmission, and was originally equipped with a 350 small block but in 1988 the owner had a shop install a 454 big block and had the transmission rebuilt and shift kit installed. Over the years the original owner also added a Lund visor, tonneau cover, trailer hitch, trailer brake controller, oil temperature gauge, vacuum gauge, electric fuel pump, and digital clock. The truck was repainted in 1995 and has been garaged ever since and looks terrific. There is no rust anywhere on it. In 1999, the original owner took the engine apart to install an RV cam but never finished the project due to declining health. It sat in his garage from January 1999 until September 2016 when I bought it. I replaced the engine with a brand new NAPA 454 engine in October 2016.

This truck is a very solid, one-owner, mostly original, survivor. The engine has less than 500 miles on it, and the transmission, tires, and exhaust have less than 1000 miles on them. It was always pampered and garaged and you can tell by looking at it. It runs and drives great. Steering is tight. Doors, hood, and tailgate all open/close perfectly. Dash pad is original and perfect. Air conditioning blows cold and has been converted to R134a freon. The 4-wheel drive includes 4 Hi, 4 Hi Loc, 4 Low, 4 Low Loc, and Neutral. Everything works as it should except for the 8-track/CB radio (it lights up but makes no noise). Like any 40 year old vehicle, it is not perfect. The rear bumper has a dimple, windshield is new but has a small rock chip, the radio lights up but makes no sound, the driver’s side lower vent does not blow air, the digital clock does not work. The paint is very nice and the body is mostly straight but does have some waves here and there like on the rear fender and the hood. They are very hard to see, even on the black, but I have pictured them.

This truck is a very clean, nice truck. I would consider it a local carshow truck or upper end driver. Located in Pittsburg, KS. Clear title in hand and can work with any shipper.
