Description of 1985 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer |
This little blazer has spent the last two years in my garage while I have been refinishing it. A new project has taken its place in the garage and I am not sure when I can get back to it so it is time to let the next person make it into their dream Hot Rod. This would make either a great Street Rod. Daily Driver. Sleeper. or Drag Strip truck. The truck does run. drive. and stop. but I have not registered it. It has a clear title from Tennessee. Title states 157. 00 miles. The brakes are weak. and the front end needs rebuilt. All of the parts are included to do this. see the list of them below. It will drive onto a trailer to be shipped. the most I have driven it is around the block and in and out of the garage. It would advise against trying to drive this more than a couple miles until it has been gone through. and preferably all the new front end parts have been installed. The interior is in good shape. It could use new carpet. but what is in it is serviceable. The seats are nice. The rear seat folds down as it should. The rear cargo compartment has been customized with a bed liner. The headliner is nice. The dash is nice with no cracks. I refinished most of the plastic on the interior and it is all in like new condition. It has an older Pioneer CD player that works great. with new Pioneer 400W 6x9 speakers installed replacing the originals. and new Pioneer dash speakers (4x6 I believe) replacing the originals. I bought a newer Blazer Center console that matches the interior (see pictures) that I was going to install but have not gotten to yet. That is included. I did a real quick Limo Tint to the back three windows before I pulled it out of the garage. it should probably be taken off. although it looks ok from the outside. The rear shocks have been replaced with Monroe shocks. New Belltech Lowering blocks have been installed on the rear springs. and new Lakewood Traction bars have been installed. The frame has had POR-15 applied where you can see it (the sides of the frame can be seen on these blazers from the side view) and the frame looks to be in excellent condition. Next up was a complete front end rebuild. and all the parts including Brake Rotors and pads are included (I will include a list of them below). The body is in black primer. There are only two spots on the truck that have rust damage. and I have replacement panels for both. There are tiny pinholes under the passenger side door rocker panel. and there is a rust through on the drivers side rear quarter in front of wheel well. Again. I have replacement panels for both of these. The rest of the body is pretty straight. there is a small dent on the front lip of the hood. and a small dent on the passenger rear end under the tail lights. I put new custom tail lights (deletes chrome surround) new custom Grill. new custom front turn signals (clear lens) and new headlight surrounds on it. It needs minimal work to get it ready for paint. I have not done much with the engine other than adding the current air cleaner. I believe the engine is a 350 and it has an automatic transmission. From the little I have driven it. I believe it may have an upgraded cam but other than that I am not sure about the engine. Air Conditioner is included as pictured but is not currently working. I have no idea what would need done to get it working as I had not gotten that far. One of the tires on the Rally wheels has a slow leak. so I have the spare tire on it. The leaking tire will be in the back of the truck. New parts that are included with the truck include: MOOG: Lower control arm bumpers. lower ball joint. upper ball joints. outer tie rod end. . inner tie rod end. ENS: End link set complete red. control arm bushings. sway bar bushings. BellTech: 1" dropped springs. Dropped SpindlesAC Delco: Front Rotors and brake padsKYB: Front shocks Feel free to ask me any questions. As you can see. I was building this to be a daily driver and to be reliable. I did not buy cheap parts or cut corners. This is a great solid base to build a street rod or even a track truck if that is what you want. It IS however a PROJECT truck and is not ready for daily driving and will need to be completed. As everyone else states. it is also 30 years old. and I have only gone through what I have stated above. Thank you for your interest. I may have forgotten some parts. but everything I have is included with this. |
