1963 Chevrolet Corvair Deluxe Rampside Show quality example Appr. 500 miles since restoration From the Bill Jabs collection of award winning Corvairs comes this incredible '63 Rampside.   Rare when new. only 2. 46 were made in this model year.   This truck has benefitted from a professional restoration and displays show quality presentation from top to bottom.   It has traveled under 500 miles since restoration and is 100% ready for driving enjoyment. show competition. or just the satisfaction of owning what is arguably the nicest Corvair Rampside on the planet.   Click to enlarge any of the photos below. a link to a gallery of all the enlarged photos is available at the bottom of the page. The Deluxe option added chrome bumpers. 2-tone paint. windshield trim. sun visors and tailgate reflectors. Fit and finish is concours quality throughout. Lights. lenses. grill. emblems - all like new. The tinted glass is all original and in incredible condition with no scratches. chips or spotting. Totally restored interior in perfect condition. At some angles the seat fabric takes on a metallic sheen that picks up on the exterior color on this truck. The seatbelts were restored and rewebbed. These were made only for Corvettes and FC (Forward Control) Corvairs from'63-'65. Underdash and seatback area present as new. The truck has all new wiring; every switch. gauge and knob operates correctly. Strict attention to detail everywhere you look. The bed was restored to the same standards as the rest of the vehicle. The load rating for the ramp is 1000lbs.   A great idea that never caught on. The entire drivetrain was completely rebuilt as well as all of the other components:  hydraulics. fuel. electrical. suspension.   Nothing was overlooked. no shortcuts were taken.
