NY 12182Delivered to it's original owner in Arlington Texas in June 1969. which is why it is still so solid. (We have the protecto plate)Factory equipped with Power Steering. Power Brakes. (which have been upgraded to discs in the front) and AC. The AC system has been completely rebuilt with new lines. compressor. dryer. etc. It has the factory SS gauge cluster with tachometer. and an SS hood was added to round out that classic look. The original 350 block has been completely rebuilt. and balanced. New pistons. rings. bearings. camshaft. etc. A 400 crank was added to bump the cubic inches up to 383. A new 350 turbo transmission. and torque converter from Summit were installed at the same time. New fuel pump. correct fuel line from pump to carb. and the Quadra-Jet was rebuilt. All original body mounts were replaced with new polyurethane mounts and front suspension bushings. The rear is a 10 bolt with a new Powertrax posi unit. If you're familiar with El Caminos. you know they were notoriously leaky. For that reason. a new. full floor pan has been properly welded in place. as well as new carpet installed. The frame. rockers. quarters. and fenders are all as solid as can be. and have not been patched or undercoated. This way you can see exactly how solid the body is with nothing hidden. The original vinyl top. which was showing it's age. was also removed and replaced.
