Description of 1980 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista |
I have a 1980 El Camino Conquista for sale. Car runs and drives good but does need some TLC. Cruises smooth down the road. The paint isn't perfect by any means. It shows some rust on the back passenger side lower quarter behind the rear wheel. Not too bad other than just surface rust where the paint had been scuffed off. I started to do the body work on the hood, where i started to primer it black but the primer has already started to wear off since i never finished it. The rear seal on the transmission leaks over time so could be replaced. The dash isdefinitely worn but everything on it works. Factory radio still works great. Cruise control does work, NO AC but it has all the stuff besides the compressor, it was just removed by previous owner. The dash has cracks in it that were covered up by a dash mat that has been removed. Needs a muffler. The heat works and the blower motor is still in good working condition. Last year we put new tires and air shocks on the car and they have less then 500 miles on them. THE CAR DOES NEED A WATER PUMP TO BE DAILY DRIVEN.I want to make that very clear, it should be towed to your location. Once that is repaired it will be good to go. The tires you see in the back will be removed i just use the back for storage for my dirt track tires. This would make a good start to a restoration or just get get it going for a daily driver, or first car for a teenager. We used this vehicle mainly for getting groceries in a town about 45 mins away and always rode smooth down the road, until it started overheating. We stopped driving it at that point and got another vehicle that better suited our family. I prefer Cash at pickup. I will accept a cashiers check, but will not let the car go until the payment has been accepted and cleared at my bank. Local pick-up only. Buyer must make payment in full within 36 Hours and schedule a pickup within a weeks time. 500 dollar deposit required through paypal. |
