Description of 1976 Chevrolet Corvette |
How about a 1976 Corvette with new killer custom paint! It is a factory A/C T-top car with a 350 and automatic transmission. We got this accident free car in original condition, it never had any paint work, but the paint wasn't the best and the front and rear bumper covers were deteriorating. Since it was such a good running, rust free nice original car we decided to bring it back to life and make an awesome custom C3. So we took the car apart and pressure washed the entire car from top to bottom to remove all the old road grime. We painted the undercarriage with a chassis black then sanded, primed and blocked the whole body of the car. Then it got new Ecklers fiberglass front and rear bumper covers on it and after they were fitted we gave it a white sealer, base coated it in a PPG blue/green metallic, applied a midcoat with some blue ice pearl and finally shot 3 coats of PPG clearcoat on it. The clearcoat was then sanded and buffed to give it a glass smooth show quality finish. It is a killer blue/green metallic pearl that changes color depending on what angle you look at it and the way the light hits the body lines on this Corvette. The paint is incredible in the sun, the pictures do not do it justice. All the jambs and under the hood were done too for a complete color change, you cannot see the original color anywhere. I have paint left over that goes with the car in case you would ever need it. There is also a box of parts that go with the car that includes seat covers, a bra, a corvette fender blanket, all the original A/C components needed to get A/C going, t-top covers and some other misc items. Now we have a great looking Corvette with 17" Torque Thrust wheels all around. The tires are a little beefier in the back giving it a great look that also hooks up good. The interior is original and nice with a tilt/ telescopic steering wheel and factory A/C. We took the door panel inserts out and painted them the same color as the car to give it a nice custom touch. Here is your chance to own a great C3 Corvette with a show quality custom paint that runs and drives great without breaking the bank. I have a full folder of receipts for all the work and parts put into this car.
