Description of 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L68 427 400 4 Spd Coupe

1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427/400HP Tri-Power Project! Up for auction is my 1969 Corvette 427/400HP Daytona Yellow Black Leather interior 4 Speed Coupe. This project started back in 1999 with the purchase of the car. I received the car with the original tank sticker which proves this to bea real deal car. I have posted the tank sticker for your review.According to the Trim Tag this rare Tri-Power was built Daytona Yellow (Paint 984) with black leather interior (Trim 402) 1 of only 3,729 with leather & a final assembly date of (I 08) April 8 1969.It's original equipment options include:Power Windows (A31),Rear Window Defroster (C50),Soft Ray Tinted Glass (A01)Positraction427HD 3:08(GS2)Transistorized Ignition System (K66)4 Speed Wide RatioTransmission(M20)AM/FM Radio (U69)White Line Tires (PT7)and last but not least 400HP(L68)Turbo-Jet 427 V8 Engine!Over the years I have pulled the bodyoffrestored the entire suspension, frame, and rebuilt the engine back to stock with all matching numbered and dated components. The engine block is #3933512 dated A 8 9 or Jan. 8th 1969. It is stamped with the correct matching partial VIN # and T0226LQ to show it is 427/400hp. Thetransmissionis the original M20 wide ratioMuncie&rear differential is a3:08 HD posi both of which areproperlydated andoriginal to the car.So, it is a number & date matched drive train.

The chassis is complete and has been built to NCRS specifications with the correct paint colors, proper nut & bolts, correct riveted in ball joints, inspection marks, shim mounting slashes & stensiled. It is ready to be married to the body.

What's needed to complete this project is the body detailed & assembled to the frame. The body has never been hit so it will need just to be stripped & painted. All exterior parts have been removed making it easier to repaint. The engine compartment will need to be gone over & detailed. The headlights should be removed & the area restored. The wiper door was removed as a complete assembly but it will need to be gone through to insure it will work properly. The headlight, engine & rear tail light harnesses with need to be replaced. Since the body is off the frame this will be an easier task. The doors were taken off the car & are complete with power windows. The tinted glass windows & windshield are still in good usable condition.

Since this has been a long term project I have assembled many nice original GM components to put on the car. I have the rear tail light housings without broken studs, an OEM power window E-brake console, NOS hood release cables, a working AM/FM radio, an OEM rear compartment main frame, a correct rad. support & more, to much to list.

This project is sold as is for the Buy It Now price! The price includes the completed chassis, the body & all parts collected & removed parts from the car. IE: The complete doors, wiper door assembly, all dash components, seats, dash, gauges, splash pans, original Ti box & harness, consoles, even a dated jack 9D & handle.

Tom's Vette Shop has sucessfully built and has achieved NCRS top flight awards for theirCorvetterestoratons. One of our most recent award winners in November 2016 judging received a 93.5%top flight award in our local NCRS chapter.

If you wish us to complete the build we estimated it will cost an additional $30,000 with paint. This can be paid in installment until done.

Arestoreddocumented 1969 Corvette 4 speed L68 built to NCRS specifications is worth approximately $85,000 & is highly collectable.
