GA 30076Call Us Today(770) 641-8354Ask Us A Question Description1951 CHEVROLET 3100 5-WINDOW RESTO PICKUPGORGEOUS DARK CHERRY IN BASE-CLEAR/CHROMEGRILL/BUMPERS/ALL STEEL/305cid TBI STRONG ENGINE/EXCELLENTCOMPRESSION/HIGHLY SHOW DETAILED/DUAL EXHAUST SYSTEM/700R4 AUTOMATIC/POWER STEERING/4-WHEEL POWER DISC BRAKES/GM AIR CONDITIONING/ALUMINUM RADIATOR/MUSTANG II FRONT END/HD RADIATOR/OAK WOOD-STAINLESS SHOW BED/15” BODY COLORED STEELWHEELS/CHEVROLET CENTERS/TRIM RINGS/WIDE WHITEWALLRADIALS/WHITE CAB PIPING/STRONG FRAME/STOCK SEAT UPRATEDRESTORED INTERIOR/DRIVEN SHOW PRESENTATIONmore photos 1951 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Resto Rod pickup presented in gorgeous Dark Cherry color. just fabulous appearance in the wonderful paint and terrific body. this deep color with wonderful luster is contrasted to the full chrome optional equipment that sets this off as a wonderful show vehicle with the chrome front bumper along with the front grill and the chrome rear bumper. this terrific paint has a lot of metallic that brings out the beautiful luster when seen in the sun. this all steel pickup has fantastic straight lines. then the 15” steel body colored wheels have Chevrolet center caps. polished trim rings and wide whitewalls. dual outside mirrors. cab white striping that makes a package that looks impressive. the engine is a built ‘80s GM 305cid/5. 0 unit with very strong compression and desirable TBI injection. the 12 volt system has fresh electricals just added to make sure it works well. aluminum radiator for the desirable Vintage Air Conditioning system. great automatic transmission is the 700R4 with overdrive. has excellent 4-wheel power disc brakes. power steering working with the Mustang II front end makes this drive well. under bed mounted fuel tank for safety. the show rear wood bed believed oak wood with stainless stripes just redone with many layers of fresh varnish (LINK). special seamless steel updated hood. testing just completed for a great driven show presentation. /p> History: this is one of the most popular collector vehicles of the Millennium. the design from Chevrolet's Advance Design Light Division started in 1947 and ended with the First Series 1955 truck. said presentation in both stock configuration and uprated resto additions continue to attach fans and collectors all over. this particular combination of the all steel stock body with the uprated running gear along with the V8 engine. automatic and air conditioning and 4-wheel disc brakes as presented here is very collectable and desirable today to use in the ‘real world’. /p> This special resto 3100 came from a classic car collector in Florida who simply wanted to change his vehicles. a recently younger retired athlete. he really loves cars and pickups and loves top quality. this has an all steel body. the hood is specially built seamless front hood that make this show very well. this really gorgeous Dark Cherry color in base coat/clear coat presents so well that it is hard to capture in photos alone. seen ‘in person’ the color in the sun looks fantastic that is complemented with the full chrome bumpers and grill and rear view mirrors. for Spring 2015. the buffing by a top professional ‘finisher’ is just completed. this multi hour process first has the Fraser Dante prepare the car with cleaning and full taping. then said finisher uses high speed buffers and high tech chemicals and waxes to bring out the terrific luster (SEE LINK) of this car. very few classic car restorers use this effort as Fraser Dante to prepare these cars for shows as this full process. said base/clear really presents just great! Note the rear special built LED taillights with turn signals that are inserted below the rear bed. the all steel bed has the gorgeous believed oak wood that is just highly varnished with marine quality to complement the stainless bed strips. all finished to the same top quality. the new rear tailgate has new chains and rubbers with white Chevrolet logo. nbsp;note that in 1951 these had hard to find like this. really a terrific vehicle for driven show. Fraser Dante specializes in classic pickups and areas like the white pin striping add to the presentation. this a really. really nice. nice example of an all steel classic pickup with great history that is ready for more modern show use. /p> engine/running gear: as purchased by our last owner and then checked by Fraser Dante. this features as a built ‘80s GM 305cid/5. 0 unit with strong compression and expensive TBI fuel injection set up on a highly detailed engine with show engine presentation. this throttle body fuel injection is very desired today. note the new dry cold compression just taken in the 140 to 150 level (LINK). great for a hydraulic lifter heads and ease of running with 93o fuel and the ‘real’ world. fresh electrical new distributor assemble and coil just added to make sure it works well. new spark plugs. good wires. brand new oil and filter. then this setup is then tuned and test driven by senior GM tech to insure proper running order. then finally nicely detailed for driven show conditions. /p> a great aluminum radiator for excellent cooling with the working Vintage Air Conditioning system. fresh coolant. the hoses and belts checked. new flex fan. nice automatic transmission is the 700R4 with overdrive. see the front of the engine with the GM modern set up for the belts. see the nice detail of the engine and reworked firewall. /p> for safety. the fuel tank is mounted under the bed that is very desirable both for safety and convenience. note the great looking tires. the 15” steel body wheels have been painted body color. Chevrolet center caps. polished trim rings that set off the color. these BFG Radial TA’s are expensive tires that are wide whitewalls. the fronts are 205/75/15s and the rears 225/75/15s. look great in the presentation and driving. the rear end is a GM 10 bolt open end unit with casting of #2604141269 that has the rear end dope just checked. Interior: the hard to find full correct gauges that are nicely done with oil pressure. temperature. fuel gauge. amp meter. all working at present. the speedometer works. head lights are good with the uprated 12 volt system. has the factory correct bench seat and back are all recovered and very nice. the proper door panels are also finished. the full headliner is the proper kind. good chrome door handles inside and out. running boards are body colored and go with the package. Good glass in all the windshield and windows along with good sealing rubber. the chrome stainless trim around the windows and windshield is redone too. /p> The frame is very solid. very good steel. simply one that was nicely worked and then painted black. then slightly driven. again detailed. simply is in better condition that photos would show.
