This is a 1955 Chevrolet with a later model 283 engine. It's a BelAir Four Door Sedan with powerglide. It's original paint and interior with most of the original parts, and has a clear Texas title. NOTE ON TEXAS TITLES: In 1955 Texas still used the motor number on titles rather than the VIN. So the VIN tag on the door pillar is not listed on the title. In the section "MOTOR or VIN" this title has the original motor number rather than the VIN. In the photos you can see the car's 1971 Texas license plate number on the title. If you want to register the car in Texas, you simply go to your local DMV and it's pretty straight forward. And with 1955 Texas license plates, you can register it as either an antique or classic. If you want to register it in another state you will need to check with your state DMV and see what their policy is on this conflict. The car is pretty rusty in the usual places on a 55, but has lots of good parts. Some of the brake shoes are locked up, but I have some rollers for loading on your trailer. PICKUP ONLY -NO SHIPPING.
