Description of 1993 Chevrolet Lumina Z34 Coupe 2-Door |
We have owned this car almost three years now........since spring of 2014. Its an enjoyable car that has done very well for us since 2014 when we bought it. Drives great on the highway and locally, We purchased it on ebay out of Glendale, AZ spring of 2014. It gets positive random comments when I drive it to the store or gas station, etc... Since purchasing this car, we've spent a couple thousand dollars on updates that were needed including newer tires and factory correct new wheels. We are setting the reserve low, a grand lower than we bought the car three years ago and before we spent several thousand on updates. Selling because I am buying a work truck which I need asap. I already have the local truck picked out, no trade offers on this car please. Below is as much background and details on this car as I can pull together. It is a very lengthy description for the interested buyer, but this hopefully saves time from answering a bunch of fill in the blank questions. Here we go: According to the car's previous owner in Arizona, he bought this car from original owner in Missouri. He drove the car to Arizona. Sold it to us spring 2014.The car was and still is always garaged. We are the third owners I think. I do have a color copy of the previous car title from Arizona which in 2011 states on the title form that the odometer miles at that time were 19,940. They are now 40,,725 original miles. I do drive the car weekly in town to do grocery shopping and other errands locally.......to keep everything working as it should, like it's battery. This car still has very nice condition factory paint and is not fading on the bumper or hood or anywhere on the car.....nor is the paint cracking or spider cracking anywhere. Original factory striping/decals. Just to be clear, this car is in above average condition but if you are expecting mint then you need to move on. There are some minor signs of wear and tear in and out of the car, but minor stuff. For example, drivers side door has two very hard to see dimples/dings. You can only see them at certain angles up close. Driver's side bottom cushion seat adjust up and down needs to be fixed....pretty minor. The seat sits flat now, but you should be able to tilt it up via hand mechanism if you want. A few very minor paint scratches on the lower front blue grill section......minor but I am mentioning anyways. Hood shows a few very faint scratches that may be able to be buffed out, I'm not sure as I have never waxed this car or detailed it since owning it. When we got this car three year ago it showed no surface rust, as it was from the desert. Since I have stored it in my garage for the past three years, it has developed some very minor surface rust spots on the underside of the car. The tire shop let me know this is minor surface rust in a few small areas under the car are not major and can be treated in the few spots it is beginning to appear. I want to be as up front about all the negatives as I can. Again, the car is currently driven regularly each week and is garaged always. The car has a clear Oregon car title. The car comes with a binder of receipts and notes and things related to it's care. Also comes with two thick 1993 Chevrolet Lumina parts guide manuals, each is about two inches thick. Also comes with an original Chevrolet parts manual for all Chevrolet cars 90-93 and that manual is about five to six inches thick and is from a Chevrolet dealership from that time era. Also comes with a factory dealership Chevrolet Lumina z34 embroidered blue towel. This is from 1993 and the dealership that sold this car I was told. I also have and will include the 1993 chevy dealers literature guide which is a glossy color magazine of all of the models they sold at their dealership....including this Z34 model. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ for reference only, the previous owners listed this information about this car in their ebay ad back in February of 2014: Color: Medium Maui Blue Metallic Condition: Repairs/Maintenance: Options Installed Miscellaneous Items Included: here is the previous owner's final ebay ad comments: "The car is absolutely gorgeous. As you can see from the above list, anything that needed to be repaired or replaced was done. The car still even has the original manufacturer body stickers. We are the third owner and non-smokers. The second owner had the car stored and did not drive it much. He lived in MO. The original owner was also in MO and for a period of about 10 years, there is no maintenance history or DMV records as me and the second owner believe it was garaged and not driven for that time period. All maintenance and repair work was done at Midway Chevrolet. The car drives with no issues now. Everything works on the car, as it should. The A/C blows cold. The car is about as perfect as you can get it. The engine bay is even cleaned at least once every month. We are fanatical about keeping cars in tip-top condition. " ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Now to what we can add description-wise as the current owners since spring 2014 to winter 2017:
here is more information on work that we, the current 3rd owners, have had done to the car since last spring 2014 since we've owned it:
Last summerI was intending on keeping this car long term so I wanted everything right on the car................I took it to my local car shop and had them check the car from head to toe and to let me know of anything needing fixing or replacing. Took it to a body shop had them look up the factory paint code. They painted the front license plate holder the factory correct blue color (it cam new in black color only). This all cost me for the new license plate pieceplus shipping...........and for paint labor and time...........combined total cost was $75. 10/2016: synthetic oil change done at Gerber Tires shop in Lincoln City, OR-- will include receipt for this This car comes with two separate sets of key fobs/keys. (pictured) I'll also include my two different Lumina Z34 posters (mounted onto press board) for the garage walls. There is one mounted cup holder and I bought an identical black plastic holder (new in package) which will also come with the car. The factory spare tire in the trunk and the factory jack in the trunk are unused ever, appear as they did back in '93. Photos posted for this ad were taken October, 2016. The car is sold as-is, and no expressed warranties or guarantees, etc...... If you are looking to do any sort of pre-purchase inspection, which is just fine, then it needs to happen prior to the ending of the ebay auction ad vs. after the auction. On Jan-13-17 at 13:45:39 PST, seller added the following information: * as of Friday, 1/13/17, the odometer reading is 40,835. I took the car out yesterday for one last long cruise. At the end of this auction, the car's mileage should read to be in this 40,835 range. Just wanted to include this odometer mileage update. |
