Be sure to click on subfolder to see some pics of extra engine, transmission, transaxle and more. Not all work is in photos. Comes with bins of extra parts.
This project started with an excellent condition van (pictured in Blue). Van was totally disassembled and painstakingly, every part was either sandblasted, cleaned or sanded and reassembled. All screws, nuts and bolts that were accessible were replaced with stainless steel, including exhaust manifold. Current engine is from a 1968 and was completely rebuilt at over $4,000.) Engine has approximately 30,000 miles since then. Odometer stopped right on 20,000 so it is estimated but close. Restoration was 1-1/2 years ago and van has been my daily driver since then, so has nicks and scratches and some chips in paint. Also there are a few bubbles here and there. So it is not perfect but a real head turner. I was going to sand blast and repaint it buthave too many other things going on.So I am going to leave restoration up to new owner. Van is still driven daily and starts quickly even in our recent zero degree weather. Here are some of the new parts installed or included. New rear bumper, Heater blower motor, battery, master cylinder, 4 brand new Costco 90,000 mile tires (6-2016)plus 3 new spares, new brakes all around, new gas shocks, new windshield rubber and rubber for all doors and widows including fuzzies and window channel. new headliner material, new exhaust system, muffler, pipes, bracket, manifolds etc. new coil springs, all new tune up parts including coil, new radio w/ CD player, new padded carpet (not yet installed) new glove box, pedals, all seals and screws, 2 new Wolf Enterprises carburetors, all hoses, belts, seals and gaskets, New complete seal and gaskets setsincluded for transmission, push tube O-rings, oil pan,New inner bearings (transaxle) both sides. Comes with videos and extra tune up tools including tool for adjusting dual carburetors. I was going to replace all padded door panels from Clarks Corvair but didn't get to it. I painted all interior door panels two tone so they look good even if you don't put the padded panels on. Many other parts included, too many to remember,Thousands of dollars worth. 3 bins full. I would include pictures but it is about 5 degrees out and I have nowhere to lay them out. Comes with both the spoke wheel covers and the dog dish. PLEASE NOTE: I doNOT accept PAYPAL.

Here's what the van needs not including re-painting if desired. Drivers window was working fine but is now stuck in the up position. Side middle door handle needs to be installed. I installed all new rubber door seals from Corvair Underground (who I would never order from again) they were all to fat and I have started to remove them. New ones from Clarks are included. Doors could use some minor adjusting as they are hitting a littlein a few areas. Push tube O-Rings need to be replaced (deluxe kit included) they are leaking. The rubber or fiber gasket between the heater and firewall needs to be replaced, not sure if that is in the parts bin. Headliner needs to installed. $275. of very nice material included. Odometer got frozen on 20,000 miles, spare dash (instrument panel w/ gauges)with parts included. Many, Many other spare parts included.

Just want you to know, hundreds of hours and many thousands of dollars were invested in this project. I have owned it for about 9 years. I hate to let it go and would like to bring it back to a show condition but I have nowhere to work on it anymore so will cut my losses and pass it on. Obviously, this is a 56 year old vehicle and is being sold as iswith no guarantees or warrantees implied. Van is currently located in Juneau, Alaska. I will include cost of shipping to Washington in the winning bid About $800. by way of the ferry that arrives in Bellingham, Washington every week. Ferry would have to be met on arrival by winning bidder unless other arrangements are made in advance. Delivery is possible, depending on location. I have a storage area in Anacortes, WA.where I could park it until buyer could pick it up at a cost of $50.00 per month. I am putting a low reserve on it considering the amount of new parts, labor and spare parts included. Van is drivable but due to the amount of oil leaking right now, it would have to be checked often. It would be better to install the seals before driving it far. An afternoon job.

I am also including many partsfrom a 1961 greenbrier van, so this van can be returned to original power if desired. Parts Van was sitting for a long time so engine is not tested. Oil and tranny fluid looked good, but I was going to rebuild it anyway. Here are some of the extra parts. Engine, powerglide transmission, transaxle, drive shafts, brake drums, shoes, windshield, side windows dash, windshield chrome insert, glove box door, steering wheel and many, many more.

On Dec-15-16 at 14:12:02 PST, seller added the following information:

Additional information: All three bench seats are included. They are all upholstered in blue cloth that matched the previous color of the van. I was going to reupholster. They are in good condition, no rips, clean and comfortable. New, uninstalled carpet is brown. Also, there is small body damage around the drivers side rear wheel.Shown in pictures.I have also added the picture to the photobucket link.

Other new parts installed are the transmission shift cable, rear window rubber, vent window rubber was replaced about 8 years ago. Master cylinder is rebuilt. Brakes work great. Stereo is included (uninstalled) but someone stole two of the speakers.

Everything is included to finish the van, aside from repainting. All door rests, rear view mirror, visors are there and painted to match. Arm rests will need upholstery of which there is plenty from headliner also included. You would have to purchase whatever kind of padding you would like to use. Plan on replacing the side view mirrors, they looked ok on install but you cant adjust them properly. Undercarriage has been rust proofed with spray on undercoater. Interior floors are all coated with POR 15. The only rust on van is surface rust on interior ceiling that I was going to remove and prime prior to headliner installation. We have very damp weather here.

Clarification on windshield, It was replaced but is not brand new. It was out of another 61 Greenbrier and is not perfect.

I will add more info as I think of it.

On Dec-18-16 at 15:30:53 PST, seller added the following information:

All extra parts including extra engine, transmission and transaxle gear box which are all wrapped, will fit in the van for transport. The back two seats are not bolted in and will be arranged to accommodate the boxes of parts and extras.
