Description of 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 210 |
This isa project car and does not run. I bought the car to build, but my doctor, my wife and my age are preventing that from happening. The body has 60 years worth of small dents and there are several areas of rust that will need to be repaired, but are very repairable. The floor has severalareas ofrust, that can be repaired rather than replacing the entire floor. There is damage in the tail light andrear bumper areas that have had some work done, but it needs more. The doors open and close like a new car so I'm surethe floor and body are not twisted or sagging. There are no seats with the car. I removed the surface rust and paintedthe outer bodywith "EASTWOOD RUST ENCAPSULATOR 16070ZP".I applied the Encapsulator to prevent further rust and not to try and hide anything. The drive trainappears pretty much complete. I don't know what the tranny is and the 3rd members appears stock. The numbers on the motor indicate that it is a 1955 V8, power glide (VI02bER) There are no over stamps on the block so I don't think it's been touched. The engine turns over, but not well. It would appear that the car has set from the early 90's, it was last inspected in 1982. I don't have a title, but have the notarized bill of sale from 12/1/1989 and theonefrom my purchase on"Form 1957 from Missouri Department of Revenue" dated 9/6/2016. This car is being sold as is and where is with no guarantee's or warranties given or implied. Buyer will be responsible for picking up the car. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. 417-665-8099. If you are where you can come look at the car just let me know. |
