Description of 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe |
I'm moving in a few months and won't have room for myfun little toy anymore so sadly its time to sell it. Bid with confidence! Worst case scenario the desirable motor, transmission, and performance parts on the truck are worth far more than the opening bid!Just a V8 "Swap-In-A-Box" kit alone will cost you $900 if yougowith a swap kit that's worth a damn, and then you still have to go buy the motor! Up for auction at a bargain starting price is my '91 S10. It was always as garage kept as evident by the good condition of the truck. The previous owner was an older man who just drove it to work in the summer and left it in the garage all winter. No bondo anywhere and absolutely rust free bumper to bumper!!When the 2.5l gave up the ghost at 200k, I installed a Turbo Fire 350 motor with highlydesirable#3927186"Powerpack" 64cc heads AKA "Double Hump" heads or "Camel Hump" heads. These heads alone are worth $400 - $600 This engine became famous for its use in the '67 - '69 SS Camaros as well as the '69 through '70 Caprices. The transmission is a matching TurboHydramatic 350. The motor and tranny were both sourced from a very nice '70 Caprice as shownby the CNR suffix code shown in the pictures. Google "Chevy CNR Suffix Code"yourself and you'll see its a true 300 HP 350 Turbo Fire motor. The engine has: - Brand new from the box Quadrajet from FlowTech-Hedman 69520 Headers- 3 Row All Aluminum S10 V8 Conversion Radiator- Edelbrock Performer AluminumIntake- Spectre air filter with top flow lid- Taylor StreetFire Wires- Accel Shorty Header Sparkplugs- New Water Pump The truck has:- 3 NEW tires (the 4th sprung a leak in the sidewall)- Cregar rims- New blower motor wheel (heat works great!)- All lights and wipers work, it will pass a State Inspection Cons: - Needs 1 $40 tire, it has 3 new ones as stated above but the 4th leaked from the sidewall- The new carb and the timing of the truck areboth set up for daily driving If your intention is to drag race it, it would be good to do some precision fine tuning of the timing and air fuel ratio for maximum power but that's standard procedure on anything you want to race.- Needs true dual exhaust run. Any exhaust shop can run ou a nice true dual setup on this truck for $150 out the door. It's a nice reliable truck, I get groceries in it all the time. You can't beat the parts and what's been done to this truck for the money! You could EASILY have $4,000 - $5,000 in a similar setup, plus weeks of work. If you need an idea of how much it will cost to get the truck shipped to you just google "uship" and you'll get a bunch of shipping quotes on the uship site! Any questions just message me! |
