Description of 1970 Chevrolet C-10 short bed, fleet side |
This is my favorite truck of all times. When I was a kid I would sit in school and draw this truck. Good stuff: Hard to find, runs straight down the road, even when you punch it. Not squirrelly, I mean straight and because of the wide tires on the back, you’re not burning up rubber, but rather hooking and down the road. Drive train is tight, safe and reliable, I drive this truck everywhere when the sun shines. It has a Hurst floor shifter, you can shift it or just put it in drive and it will shift for you. A 350 bored out 30 over with a mild cam. I recently put a Holly street defender on it. I’ve attached a video that just lets you hear it running. Inside bed is a bed liner and black flat paint. Interior is period correct with a few minor upgrades. PERFECT cruising truck! Local shows and such the truck gets a lot of looks and comments. I can’t drive it anywhere that I don’t get horn beeps, thumps up, and people stopping wanting to talk about it. But I want to make sure I don’t mislead anyone…
Not so good stuff: This is not a show truck, in fact, it is a 10 year old body and paint restoration and even then it was done by an amateur, with a stage one paint job, that is orange pealed (fish eyed) and would benefit from a professional body and paint job.
Now with that said, the truck mechanically is impressive. I love to drive it. I’m almost 60 and cannot resist punching it every time I get in it. If you are the winning bidder, you come to get the truck and decide it is not for you then I will not hold you to buying it. I’m happy to keep it. My zip code is 25404, please make arrangements to come see it if possible. You can call, text 304-616-7402 or email me if you have a question. I will not tell what the reserve is, so please don’t ask. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to look at this wonderful truck. |
