Description of 1957 Chevrolet 3800

Hello!
This auction is for a fantastic project vehicle, it is a 1957 Chevrolet 3800 panel truck. My father and I purchased this about 7 years ago to work on as a project since the family company had a 57 panel back in the day. Unfortunately life (and the restoration of two historic homes) got in the way! I have many projects of my own (Citation X-11 and various other 1980's Chevrolets!!) so the time has come to sell the panel. It had been sitting for a couple of years when we got it and had the engine and transmission removed. The prior owner advised us that it was running/driving but was smoking. They started working on it and never finished. What we know about the vehicle:
Engine is the 235 straight six and has a four speed manual transmission with a 'granny' gear
Mileage is unknown. I entered 100000 and can get the ODO reading if needed, but it could have been turned over in the last 50+ years!
Has chrome bumpers and a radio. That was high end luxury stuff for a work vehicle in the 1950's!!
Was stored outside for several years but when we got it was promptly put in covered storage
Rear body has some filler on outer panels, underneath (inside of wheel wells and ETC) has surface rust but no serious rot. Will try to get pics of this this weekend.
Doors and hood have minor fixable rust but both front fenders definitely need replaced or patch panels welded in. Luckily these are reproduced.
Floor in front needs some work but isn't all rotted out, will try to get pics of this too. They are pickup type panels though and are available.
Comes with reproduction manuals and we also got a few extra wheels and the bedsides off of a 58 Chevrolet pickup to use for any needed patch panels on the rear quarter panels. The panel truck-specific parts are not reproduced, but the pickup wheelarches are VERY similar.
Plan on everything needing overhauled, obviously this is a project. The radio, gauges, brakes and such have never been tested by us.
Engine, Transmission and hood are in the back.
The first few pictures are from when we first got it and the rest are from the storage unit that it currently inhabits in Stuart Iowa. All over a good start for a restoration or for a source of parts, the old panel trucks are not seen too often anymore.
