Description of 1966 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Convertible

I am selling this car for a good friend of mine who has cancer and can't afford to finish this project. He has asked me to help him sell it. My feedback is good, and I know both the seller and car well enough to put my reputation at stake.I actually helped him and his father (who owned a shop in Chicago for many years) put the engine in the car and get the car running well. I also personally drove the car. I had a 67' Camaro RS when I was in high school with a 327 and powerglide two speed auto. Driving this Impala SS brought back many fond memories. It runs very well.
This is an Arkansas barn find 1966 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Convertible, matching numbers engine, transmission, etc. Car is complete, down to hubcaps. The engine was seized, so it was taken out and professionally rebuilt with new pistons, rods, heads redone, etc. Have receipts. Transmission fluid is bright red, is not burned, and the transmission shifts, and downshifts, perfectly. A new front seal was put in the transmission when the engine was out. The original four barrel carburetor was also professionally rebuilt. The car could be registered and driven, as is, with new tires. It does have a new brake master cylinder, new gas tank, new fuel pump, etc. Everything works. When we had the key cut for the ignition, we failed to get keys cut for the trunk/doors. As said, the car needs new tires, as the old tires are still on it. They hold air and it can be driven, but they are dry-rotted and go flat over time. The car was last registered and safety checked in 1979. I am happy to answer any questions that I can, but I would appreciate if questions were directed at me. My friend is undergoing cancer treatment, and I can convey any questions and get answers. I've showed the outer body rust. The trunk floor looks good, as do the floor plans. The car was in a bard, but was not covered when purchased. We have covered the vehicle, when it wasn't in my shop for the new engine. PLEASE BE AWARE, THAT THE BUY-IT-NOW PRICE DISAPPEARS ONCE THE RESERVE IS MET. THE BUY-IT-NOW IS REASONABLE, AS THIS CAR WOULD BRING SEVERAL TIMES THIS IN RESTORED CONDITION.

Several have asked for photos of the trunk pan and floor pans. I will not pull the carpet up or out, but will try to lift car and take photos from underneath this Sunday. I try to get them posted. Also, if you will look at the following website, you can decode this car to see that it is what it is advertised to be. I thought it was interesting, if anything: impalas.org
