Description of 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 |
Beautiful black 1990 Corvette ZR1, that is in excellent condition. Purchased by me from Corvette collector Bill Mullis who collected black corvettes. This is a beautiful Corvette ZR1 from top to bottom which has just been professionally serviced by American Chevrolet. The car simply put is a modern marvel. Very fast and capable and stunning! This Corvette was manufactured in Canada so it does run with it's headlights up, but on only when selected as "On". The car has it's original black paint and with the exception of small dings on the rear tire rims, the ZR1 is very very nice. 1990 Corvette ZR1 videohttps://youtu.be/xRaXE2ehOpY The ZR-1 displayed stunning ability both in terms of acceleration and handling capabilities, but carried with it an astonishingly high price.MSRPfor the (375hp) ZR-1 in 1990 was $58,995,almost twice the cost of a (250hp) non-ZR-1,and had ballooned to $66,278 by 1995; some dealers successfully marked units as high as $100,000. Even at base MSRP, this meant that the ZR-1 was competing in the same price bracket as cars like thePorsche 964, making it a hard sell for GM dealers. Although the ZR-1 was extremely quick for its time (0-60mph in 4.4 seconds, and onto 180+ mph), the huge performance of the LT5 engine was matched by its robustness. As evidence of this, a stock ZR-1 set seven international and world records at a test track inFort Stockton, Texason March 1, 1990, verified by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) for the group II, class 11 category:[8][9]
