This is a 1987 Corvette Coupe that has received an NCRS Regional Top Flight Award in May of 2016. It received a final score of 95.4%. This score was obtained with the non-stock wheels and exhaust installed. It is a very original car and runs and drives very well. It has just slightly over 57,000 original miles. The car is an early manufacture 1987 car with a build date of September 25, 1986 and was delivered to Denver, Colorado. It also has ALL factory options (except two-tone paint) and has been judged to be in excellent condition by the NCRS. There were 30,632 Corvettes built in 1987 and this car has several relatively rare options. Silver Beige Metallic Paint (only 788 Coupes and 162 Convertibles came in this color). No portions of this car have ever been repainted and it has never been in an accident. Bronze Leather Sport Seats (only on 514 Coupes) Z51 Performance Handling Package (only available on the coupe and only 1,596 built). This option came with: Heavy Duty Radiator A Second Cooling Fan (standard cars only have one) Engine Oil Cooler Delco-Bilstein Shock Absorbers Heavy-Duty Front & Rear Springs Heavy-Duty Front & Rear Stabilizer Bars Faster 13.0:1 Steering Ratio (standard cars have 15.1:1 ratio) Heavy-Duty Frame Reinforcements (similar to the convertible frame) 16x9.5 Wheels with P255/50VR-16 Tires 4-Speed Manual Transmission (4,298 built). This is the transmission referred to as the “4+3 transmission” and has overdrive on the top three gears. With this suspension and transmission the car handles like a true sports car and still gets a solid 24-25 mpg on the highway. The clutch master and slave cylinders have been replaced and the hydraulic system for the brakes has been serviced. The clutch is originaland shows no signs of abuse. Dual Removable Roof Panels. One body colored and one bronze tinted "sun roof". A padded leatherette cover for the second roof panel comes with the car. Power locks, seats and windows. Tilt-telescopic steering wheel. Bose Stereo. Electronic Air Conditioning (a new compressor and drier have been installed and the system has been updated to R134a refrigerant and cools exceptionally well). The exhaust has been replaced with a Flowmaster cat-back system. The catalytic converter has also been replaced. The wheels were made by Riken and are date coded 1985. These are also the correct wider size (16 x 9.5) for use with the Z51 package. I do not have the original wheels. NCRS judging documents will be provided with the sale. The original owner's manual is included along with copies of the window sticker and the build sheet. (I do not have the originals of these) A high-quality soft car cover is also included with the car. The car also comes with a brand-new Delco battery and Delco air filter. It has a fresh oil change with Mobil-1 5w30 and a Delco PF-25 oil filter.
