I purchased this 1984 El Camino earlier this year for fun but would like to sell it before heading off to college. I am asking $2000 obo. This is a project car for sure, but it would not take too much to get it back on the road. The inspection just expired this past February so it has been road worthy relatively recently. The main issue is with the th350c lockup automatic 3-speed transmission; it can not get out of 1st gear, but park, reverse, and neutral all work fine. The exhaust system is functional but it is sagging and would likely need to be fixed soon. Needs a new muffler too. The gauges all seem to work fine so I have no reason to suspect the odometer is inaccurate and I can see the dials turning when I drive, but of course I am not the original owner. The interior is decent but the right door is not original so it has a different bare panel as you can see from the picture. There are also upsides that you do not normally see with a car this old. The body is in really good shape and there is not much more than surface rust on the undercarriage and on the frame. It has a chevy 305 8 cylinder engine which runs very well and smooth. I replaced all the parts of the distributor and put in new spark plugs to ensure it fires up right away. The PMD wheels and Bfgoodrich tires look really nice, especially on this muscle car because the rear wheels are larger than the front ones. I also have an extra front bumper that I can include. It is nicer than the one on the car and does not have any chrome peeling off. I am not looking for any trades. Non-local buyers pay shipping costs. Thank your for checking this listing out. Feel free to email, call, or preferably text a number I can provide (message me) if you are interested to hear more about the car or if you want to come see it in person.
