Description of 1991 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 Hatchback 2-Door |
1991 Chevrolet ZR-1 Corvette Coupe number 526. Arctic white with red interior, one of 188 with that color combination in 1991. The car runs and drives good. I use it as a daily driver when the weather is nice in the summer. It has 92157 miles on it, I purchased it in 2003 with approximately 79800 miles. The car looks good on the exterior and the paint shines nice. The interior is good with the exception of some carpet wear. There is a small area, about 1.5" in diameter on the hood on the passenger side, right in the corner where the hood meets the body line in front of the front wheel where it was repaired by a previous owner. This needs a better repair. It has the normal amount of small stone chips that you expect. In 2010 I was stopped at a stop light and the person behind me was not paying attention and thought I pulled out. They bumped the rear fasciaand cracked it on the passenger side. The rear fascia was replaced with a NOS one, not easy to find at the time. The whole car was repainted then from the rear doors back. I purchased this car as a nice driver to fix up. There are still interior and aesthetic stuff to be done. We are moving across country and won't be in our permanent home right away so I don't want to deal with moving and storing it. So the time has come for it to move to someone who can finish it or just wants to drive the snot out of it. The car has the following upgrades:Watson long tube headersBorla exhaust systemPolished fuel injector housings Upgrades since I purchased the car:Fidanza aluminum flywheelIntake air duct stiffenerHailbeck custom programmed promGrand Sport style black wheels (original wheels included)Removed tire pressure sensors (original sensors included)Cut out intake air box The following items have been replaced since I purchased the car (approximately 12000 miles):All 16 primary and secondary fuel injectors with newer ethanolresistant injectorsAll 4 coil packs with correct DelcoIdle air controlThrottle position sensorMAF sensorSecondary vacuum pump and linesClutch slave cylinderThermostatRadiator with new stock oneUpper and lower radiator tubesPlug wires with LT-4 red plug wire setNew AC Delco battery last yearNew battery terminalsCam cover emblemsAir intake accordionductAir conditioning converted to R134A (works fine but needs a charge)All 4 Bilstein adjustable shocks with rebuilt by Bilstein adjustable shocksAll 4 tires with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's, approximately 75% leftSteering wheel, original had multiple leather cracksGauge cluster, original tachometer was not functioning accuratelyBoth driver and passenger side inner door panelsBoth passenger and drivers side sport seats with original ZR-1 seats, original seats needed recoveringAll 4 Bose speaker and amp assemblies with rebuilt onesCenter counsel coverRadio and HVAC faceplate Items that need to be fixed:Sound system tuner module under dash on passenger side needs to be replaced, not the head unit. Radio does not work because of thisBackup light switch needs to be replacedAll the weather stripping looks bad and need replacing. There are no leaks it just looks badFront carpet set needs replacing, sills are wore on both sidesPower seat adjustment controls are intermittent a replacement harness and switch assembly is included can be installed when front carpet is changedPower antenna is not working, but I think it may be a fuse replacement issueWindow tinting on rear hatch needs replacingFog light bezels need polishingSome of the lumbar adjustments in the seats are not working, most likely leaks in the air lines. The pumps work fine.Air conditioning needs a charge Other items:The windshield is the original and is delaminated about an inch or so in around most of the edges. It doesn't effect visibility and has not increased since I have owned the car so I don't think it's gonna get any worseWhen I purchased the car it had a white top. It originally came with a clear top so I purchased a new one for the car. The white top also comes with the car. The headliner is missing in the white topThe Hailbeck custom prom has the power key always on so the power key is present but doesn't do anythingThe car has no cats. Emissions testing is not required here for cars older than model year 1996, nor is in the state that I am moving to. Anyway, cats could easily be added and the AIR system is still present and could be re-hooked up. Accessories included:Original pizza box owners kit with everything except the key chainExtra white topLaminated copy of the original window price stickerLaminated copy of the original build sheetALDL scannerCoupe fastener set from Corvette Central, minus the few that have been replacedFull set of service manuals I have described the car to best of my ability however I may have forgotten a few things that have been replaced.
