Description of 1979 Chevrolet Corvette L82 |
1979 Corvette L82 Setup for Autocross Events This is a well prepared Corvette that is perfect for autocross events or can be used as a driver. I am listing the car for a friend whose father had done all of the upgrades before she and her husband bought the car from him. The car has only been street driven since 2002. Below is a list of the upgrades: Poly Upper A-Arm Bushings, Bump Steer Kit, Heavy Duty Tie Rods, Heavy Duty Tie Rod Sleeves, 550 lb Front Coils, Mod Inc 4-Core Radiator, Moroso Small Accusump 1-Qt, Short Dodge Oil Filter, Auto Meter Mechanical Temp Gauge, Performance Friction Front Brake Pads, Heavy Duty Front Wheel Bearings, Moroso Long Front Racing Studs, Champ 8 qt. Racing Oil Pan, Fluid Damper Harmonic Balancer, 4- Bolt 350 Block- 9.5 Flat Top Pistons, Melling H.V. Oil Pump, Hays 30 lb Flywheel, Center Force Dual-Friction Clutch, Edelbrock-Weber 790 GM Carburetor, Comp Cams Tru-Roller Timing Chain Set, Crane 350HP-327 Blue Print Cam, Heavy Duty Valve Springs, Crane Lifters- push rods, Crane Premium Steel Rockers, Heavy Duty 65,000 Volt Coil Setup with Cap on new re-built distributor, MSD 8mm Red wires, Center Plug insulators, A/C Rapid Fire Plugs, 65 amp alternator (rebuilt), Tilton Gear Reduction Starter, 2" to 2 ½" Mid America Pipes- Stainless, 2 ½" Flowmaster Premium Mufflers, R.J.S. Lap Belt, Light Black Steering Wheel- Eckler’s, New Carpet, New Door Panels, New Upholstery- Leather, New Storage Compartments, 360 lb Mono-leaf Rear Spring, Alumnium MTQ Plates, Urethane Safety Motor Mounts, Urethane Transmission Mounts, Heavy Duty Camper Bars- Eckler’s, Delco Rear Shocks, Performance Friction Rear Pads, New Rear Calipers- Muskogen, New Rear Brake Lines, 355 Posi Rearend- Rebuilt. As I recall the car has a little less than 90,000 miles on it. I will have to verify that if you need to know for sure. The upgrades were done prior to 2002 and I believe the list is still accurate. I don't know if it has the original engine in it or not. I could not see the stamp pad on the block to verify because the A/C compressor is in the way. The car is stored in Springfield, Missouri. It comes with a clean Georgia title. I will help with loading the car for transportation. Please email with additional questions. Sold as is, no warranty expressed or implied. |
