Description of 1963 Chevrolet C-10 STEPSIDE SURVIVOR TRUCK ORIG PATINA MOTOR RUNS |
1963 CHEVROLET C10 STEPSIDE PICKUP TRUCK 90% ALL ORIGINAL TRUCK W/FENDER MOUNT SPARE TIRE CARRIER AND TIRE COVER. THIS IS A ONE OWNER TRUCK BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. THE PAINT IS ALL ORIGINAL AS SO IS THE AWESOME BEAUTIFUL PATINA THAT HAS FORMED ALL ON ITS OWN, IN THE BEAUTIFUL DESERT LAND AREA OF CARRIZOZO NEW MEXICO. WHICH IS WHERE THIS BEAUTIFUL SURVIVOR CHEVY TRUCK RESIDES FROM.THIS TRUCK IS NOT FULL OF RUST HOLES AND ROTTEN BEDWOOD.ALTHOUGH IT DOES HAVE SOME PATCHWORK IN SOME SPOTS,THEY ARE VERY MINIMAL COMPARED TO MOST. THE BEDWOOD AND RAILS ARE 100% ORIGINAL,AND ARE ALL INTACT,EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE CORNER,CLOSE TO THE CAB.THE SPOT IS STILL SOLID,BUT IS SHOWING SIGNS OF THE WOODS AGE. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS CLOSELY TO SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL THE ORIGINAL CONDITION OF THIS TRUCK TRULY IS. I ALSO HAVE VERY MANY PHOTOS TAKEN OF THIS TRUCK,AND WOULD BE GLAD TO SHARE THEM WITH ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED. THIS TRUCK REALLY NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT IN PERSON TO APPRECIATE HOW WELL THIS BABY HAS HELD UP OVER THE YEARS IN THE HOT SUN. NOW FOR A SHORT LIST ON THE ITEMS ON THE TRUCK THAT I SEE THAT ARE NOT ORIGINAL: TIRES,WHEELS,LUG NUTS,CAPS,STEERING WHEEL,SEAT COVER, CARPET,RADIO,GRAB RAIL,WIPER BLADES, BATTERY,BATTERY CABLES,DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR,WIRES FUEL PUMP,FILTER,POSSIBLY CARBURATOR,HOOD ORNAMENT, FUEL FILTER,EXHAUST PIPE TIPS,RADIO ANTENNA,EXTERNAL SPEEDOMETER,LOCKING GAS CAP,GAS PEDAL,UNDER DASH GUAGE CLUSTER. I MAY HAVE MIST A COUPLE OF THINGS,BUT EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE TRUCK IS ORIGINAL. THE WIPERS,HEADLIGHTS,HIGH BEAMS,MARKER LIGHTS,TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS,BRAKE LIGHTS,BACKUP LIGHTS,BRAKES,BLOWER MOTOR,HEATER,CLUTCH,SHIFTER,TRANSMISSION,REAR END, STEERING,WINDOW REGULATORS,DOOR LATCHES,PARKING BRAKE,ARE ALL IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. THE TRUCK OF COURSE WILL NEED SOME TLC TO GET MOST OF THE RUBBER PRODUCTS ON THE VEHICLE BACK INTO SHAPE,AS WILL THE WINDOW FELTS AND DOOR RUBBER SEALS,BODY MOUNTS,MOTOR AND TRANS MOUNTS,ANY EXHAUST SYSTEM RUBBER MOUNTS,STEERING LINKAGE,A ARM BUSHINGS,ETC. ALL THESE ITEMS,ARE THERE,BUT ARE DETERIORATING. THE ORIGINAL SPEEDOMETER IS IN THE DASH,BUT IS NOT HOOKED UP,AND THE WEIRD THING ABOUT IT,IS THE OWNER ATTACHED A VINTAGE STEWART WARNER SPEEDO UNIT IN A BLUE METAL MOUNT TO UNDER THE DASH. IT IS WORKING AND HAS AN ODOMETER ALSO, BUT THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOWING IF THIS IS ANYWHERE CLOSE TO ORIGINAL MILEAGE. I PURCHASED THESE NEW ITEMS AND INSTALLED THEM ON THE VEHICLE. WIPER BLADES AND REFILLS,LUG NUTS,WHEEL LOCKS, CENTER CAPS,HEADLIGHT ALLIGNMENT SCREWS,BATTERY,BAT CABLES,FUEL FILTER,DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR,FUEL PUMP, FLUSHED AND FILLED THE RADIATOR. ALL THE GLASS IN THE TRUCK LOOKS TO BE ORIGINAL AND HAS NO MAJOR ISSUES. DOORS AND WINDOWS OPEN AND CLOSE WITH EASE.SHIFTER AND TRANS SHIFT WELL THROUGHT ALL THE GEARS. ALTERNATOR IS CHARGING,STARTER OPERATES CORREC TLY, ENGINE STARTS RIGHT UP,AS LONG AS IT HAS NOT BEEN SITTING. ALL AND ALL, THIS TRUCK WILL FEEL LIKE A TIME CAPSULE,AND SEND YOU INTO A BLAST FROM THE PAST,WHEN YOU SEE AND SIT IN IT,AND DRIVE IT IN PERSON. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED IN THIS TRUCK, IT IS JUST FANTASTIC. I WAS SO GLAD TO BE THE ONE TO BE ABLE TO SAVE THIS TRUCK FROM FURTHER DEMIES,AND BRING IT TO EBAY FOR ALL INTERESTED TO SEE AND ENJOY. TRULY A FINE EXAMPLE OF A VINTAGE SURVIVOR. WE ALSO FOUND SOME GOODIES IN THE GLOVE BOX,FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER WHICH ARE LISTED AS FOLLOWS: 1 VINTAGE CITIZENS STATE BANK, TURQOISE COLORED BANK BAG HAS WRITTEN ON THE OUTSIDE IN PERMANENT MARKER ( 63 CHEV P.U AND THE OWNERS INITIALS AND FULL LAST NAME INSIDE THE BAG WERE THE ORIGINAL RETAIL INSTALLMENT CONTRACT W/COPY, TO THE SALE OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE DEALER THAT THE TRUCK WAS BOUGHT NEW AT.
